2023-07-24docs: move s390 under archCosta Shulyupin1-1069/+0
and fix all in-tree references. Architecture-specific documentation is being moved into Documentation/arch/ as a way of cleaning up the top-level documentation directory and making the docs hierarchy more closely match the source hierarchy. 2023-05-17s390/iommu: get rid of S390_CCW_IOMMU and S390_AP_IOMMUJason Gunthorpe1-1/+0
These don't do anything anymore, the only user of the symbol was VFIO_CCW/AP which already "depends on VFIO" and VFIO itself selects IOMMU_API. When this was added VFIO was wrongly doing "depends on IOMMU_API" which required some contortions like this to ensure IOMMU_API was turned on. 2023-01-23vfio-mdev: turn VFIO_MDEV into a selectable symbolChristoph Hellwig1-1/+0
VFIO_MDEV is just a library with helpers for the drivers. Stop making it a user choice and just select it by the drivers that use the helpers. 2022-10-04vfio/mdev: embedd struct mdev_parent in the parent data structureChristoph Hellwig1-1/+1
Simplify mdev_{un}register_device by requiring the caller to pass in a structure allocate as part of the parent device structure. This removes the need for a list of parents and the separate mdev_parent refcount as we can simplify rely on the reference to the parent device. 2022-07-19s390/vfio-ap: update docs to include dynamic config supportTony Krowiak1-146/+346
Update the documentation in vfio-ap.rst to include information about the AP dynamic configuration support (e.g., hot plug of adapters, domains and control domains via the matrix mediated device's sysfs assignment attributes). This patch also makes a few minor tweaks to make corrections and clarifications. Signed-off-by: Tony Krowiak <akrowiak@linux.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Jason J. 2021-06-21vfio/mdev: Remove CONFIG_VFIO_MDEV_DEVICEJason Gunthorpe1-1/+0
For some reason the vfio_mdev shim mdev_driver has its own module and kconfig. As the next patch requires access to it from mdev.ko merge the two modules together and remove VFIO_MDEV_DEVICE. A later patch deletes this driver entirely. 2019-06-11docs: s390: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rstMauro Carvalho Chehab1-0/+866
Convert all text files with s390 documentation to ReST format. Tried to preserve as much as possible the original document format. Still, some of the files required some work in order for it to be visible on both plain text and after converted to html. The conversion is actually: - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs; - fix tables markups; - add some lists markups; - mark literal blocks; - adjust title markups. At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings.
