The variable 'rate' being assigned a value that is never read, the assignment is redundant and can be removed. 2023-10-23clk: cdce925: Extend match support for OF tablesBiju Das1-30/+35
The driver has an OF match table, still, it uses an ID lookup table for retrieving match data. Currently, the driver is working on the assumption that an I2C device registered via OF will always match a legacy I2C device ID. The correct approach is to have an OF device ID table using i2c_get_match_data() if the devices are registered via OF/ID. Unify the OF/ID table by using struct clk_cdce925_chip_info as match data for both these tables and replace the ID lookup table for the match data by i2c_get_match_data(). Split the array clk_cdce925_chip_info_tbl[] as individual variables, and make lines shorter by referring to e.g. &clk_cdce913_info instead of &clk_cdce925_chip_info_tbl[CDCE913]. Drop enum related to chip type as there is no user. While at it, remove the trailing comma in the terminator entry for the OF table making code robust against (theoretical) misrebases or other similar things where the new entry goes _after_ the termination without the compiler noticing. 2023-10-09clk: cdce925: Convert to use maple tree register cacheMark Brown1-1/+1

2023-05-10clk: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König1-1/+1

2022-10-17clk: cdce925: simplify using devm_regulator_get_enable()Matti Vaittinen1-17/+4
Simplify the driver using devm_regulator_get_enable() instead of open-coding the devm_add_action_or_reset(). A (minor?) functional change is that we don't print an error in case of a deferred probe. Now we also print the error no matter which of the involved calls caused the failure. 2022-04-22clk: cdce925: use i2c_match_id and simple i2c probeStephen Kitt1-12/+12
As part of the ongoing i2c transition to the simple probe ("probe_new"), this patch uses i2c_match_id to retrieve the driver_data for the probed device. The id parameter is thus no longer necessary and the simple probe can be used instead. 2017-01-09clk: cdce925: add support for CDCE913, CDCE937, and CDCE949Akinobu Mita1-25/+83

2015-06-03Add TI CDCE925 I2C controlled clock synthesizer driverMike Looijmans1-0/+749
This driver supports the TI CDCE925 programmable clock synthesizer. The chip contains two PLLs with spread-spectrum clocking support and five output dividers. The driver only supports the following setup, and uses a fixed setting for the output muxes: Y1 is derived from the input clock Y2 and Y3 derive from PLL1 Y4 and Y5 derive from PLL2 Given a target output frequency, the driver will set the PLL and divider to best approximate the desired output.
