2024-09-03wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: refactor scan channel description a bitJohannes Berg1-13/+20
The channel number is at the same position across all versions of the channel description struct, so move it out of the union that versions it. Also add __packed annotations to all of the sub-structs and the union so it's packed correctly, and fully document the structure. 2024-08-27wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: Fix a race in scan abort flowIlan Peer1-0/+13
When the upper layer requests to cancel an ongoing scan, a race is possible in which by the time the driver starts to handle the upper layers scan cancel flow, the FW already completed handling the scan request and the driver received the scan complete notification but still did not handle the notification. In such a case the FW will simply ignore the scan abort request coming from the driver, no notification would arrive from the FW and the entire abort flow would be considered a failure. To better handle this, check the status code returned by the FW for the scan abort command. In case the status indicates that no scan was aborted, complete the scan abort flow with success, i.e., the scan was aborted, as the flow is expected to consume the scan complete notification. 2022-04-06iwlwifi: fw: Replace zero-length arrays with flexible-array membersGustavo A. R. Silva1-2/+2

Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2]. 2021-04-14iwlwifi: mvm: Add support for 6GHz passive scanIlan Peer1-0/+8
When doing scan while 6GHz channels are not enabled, the 6GHz band is not scanned. Thus, if there are no APs on the 2GHz and 5GHz bands (that will allow discovery of geographic location etc. that would allow enabling the 6GHz channels) but there are non collocated APs on 6GHz PSC channels these would never be discovered. To overcome this, FW added support for performing passive UHB scan in case no APs were discovered during scan on the 2GHz and 5GHz channels. Add support for enabling such scan when the following conditions are met: - 6GHz channels are supported but not enabled by regulatory. - Station interface is not associated or less than a defined time interval passed from the last resume or HW reset flows. - At least 4 channels are included in the scan request - The scan request includes the widlcard SSID. - At least 50 minutes passed from the last 6GHz passive scan. Apart from DVM, all firmware uses the same base API, and there's code outside iwlmvm that needs to interact with it. Reflect this in the source better and reorganize the firmware API to a new fw/api/ directory. While at it, split the already pretty large fw-api.h file into a number of smaller files, going from almost 3k lines in there to a maximum number of lines less than 1k.
