software_key_query() returns the maximum signature and digest size for a
given key to user space. When it only supported RSA keys, calculating
those sizes was trivial as they were always equivalent to the key size.
However when ECDSA was added, the function grew somewhat complicated
calculations which take the ASN.1 encoding and curve into account.
This doesn't scale well and adjusting the calculations is easily
forgotten when adding support for new encodings or curves. In fact,
when NIST P521 support was recently added, the function was initially
not amended:

Introduce a ->max_size() callback to struct sig_alg and take advantage
of it to move the signature size calculations to ecdsa-x962.c.
Introduce a ->digest_size() callback to struct sig_alg and move the
maximum ECDSA digest size to ecdsa.c. It is common across ecdsa-x962.c
and the upcoming ecdsa-p1363.c and thus inherited by both of them.
For all other algorithms, continue using the key size as maximum
signature and digest size.

crypto_sig_maxsize() is a bit of a misnomer as it doesn't return the
maximum signature size, but rather the key size.
Rename it as well as all implementations of the ->max_size callback.
A subsequent commit introduces a crypto_sig_maxsize() function which
returns the actual maximum signature size.
While at it, change the return type of crypto_sig_keysize() from int to
unsigned int for consistency with crypto_akcipher_maxsize(). None of
the callers checks for a negative return value and an error condition
can always be indicated by returning zero.

Unlike the rsa driver, which separates signature decoding and
signature verification into two steps, the ecdsa driver does both in one.
This restricts users to the one signature format currently supported
(X9.62) and prevents addition of others such as P1363, which is needed
by the forthcoming SPDM library (Security Protocol and Data Model) for
PCI device authentication.
Per Herbert's suggestion, change ecdsa to use a "raw" signature encoding
and then implement X9.62 and P1363 as templates which convert their
respective encodings to the raw one. One may then specify
"x962(ecdsa-nist-XXX)" or "p1363(ecdsa-nist-XXX)" to pick the encoding.
The present commit moves X9.62 decoding to a template. A separate
commit is going to introduce another template for P1363 decoding.
The ecdsa driver internally represents a signature as two u64 arrays of
size ECC_MAX_BYTES. This appears to be the most natural choice for the
raw format as it can directly be used for verification without having to
further decode signature data or copy it around.
Repurpose all the existing test vectors for "x962(ecdsa-nist-XXX)" and
create a duplicate of them to test the raw encoding.

If <linux/asn1_decoder.h> is the first header included from a .c file
(due to headers being sorted alphabetically), the compiler complains:
include/linux/asn1_decoder.h:18:29: error: unknown type name 'size_t'
Avoid by including <linux/types.h>.
Jonathan notes that the counterpart <linux/asn1_encoder.h> already
includes <linux/types.h>, but additionally includes the unnecessary
<linux/bug.h>. Drop it.

The crypto_sig_*() API calls lived in sig.c so far because they needed
access to struct crypto_sig_type: This was necessary to differentiate
between signature algorithms that had already been migrated from
crypto_akcipher to crypto_sig and those that hadn't yet.
Now that all algorithms have been migrated, the API calls can become
static inlines in <crypto/sig.h> to mimic what <crypto/akcipher.h> is
doing.

A sig_alg backend has just been introduced and all asymmetric
sign/verify algorithms have been migrated to it.
The sign/verify operations can thus be dropped from akcipher_alg.
It is now purely for asymmetric encrypt/decrypt.
Move struct crypto_akcipher_sync_data from internal.h to akcipher.c and
unexport crypto_akcipher_sync_{prep,post}(): They're no longer used by
sig.c but only locally in akcipher.c.
In crypto_akcipher_sync_{prep,post}(), drop various NULL pointer checks
for data->dst as they were only necessary for the verify operation.
In the crypto_sig_*() API calls, remove the forks that were necessary
while algorithms were converted from crypto_akcipher to crypto_sig
one by one.
In struct akcipher_testvec, remove the "params", "param_len" and "algo"
elements as they were only needed for the ecrdsa verify operation.
Remove corresponding dead code from test_akcipher_one() as well.

The virtio crypto driver exposes akcipher sign/verify operations in a
user space ABI. This blocks removal of sign/verify from akcipher_alg.
Herbert opines:
"I would say that this is something that we can break. Breaking it
is no different to running virtio on a host that does not support
these algorithms. After all, a software implementation must always
be present.
I deliberately left akcipher out of crypto_user because the API
is still in flux. We should not let virtio constrain ourselves."

Drop sign/verify support from virtio crypto. There's no strong reason
to also remove encrypt/decrypt support, so keep it.
A key selling point of virtio crypto is to allow guest access to crypto
accelerators on the host. So far the only akcipher algorithm supported
by virtio crypto is RSA. Dropping sign/verify merely means that the
PKCS#1 padding is now always generated or verified inside the guest,
but the actual signature generation/verification (which is an RSA
decrypt/encrypt operation) may still use an accelerator on the host.
Generating or verifying the PKCS#1 padding is cheap, so a hardware
accelerator won't be of much help there. Which begs the question
whether virtio crypto support for sign/verify makes sense at all.
It would make sense for the sign operation if the host has a security
chip to store asymmetric private keys. But the kernel doesn't even
have an asymmetric_key_subtype yet for hardware-based private keys.
There's at least one rudimentary driver for such chips (atmel-ecc.c for
ATECC508A), but it doesn't implement the sign operation. The kernel
would first have to grow support for a hardware asymmetric_key_subtype
and at least one driver implementing the sign operation before exposure
to guests via virtio makes sense.

A sig_alg backend has just been introduced with the intent of moving all
asymmetric sign/verify algorithms to it one by one.
Migrate the sign/verify operations from rsa-pkcs1pad.c to a separate
rsassa-pkcs1.c which uses the new backend.
Consequently there are now two templates which build on the "rsa"
akcipher_alg:
* The existing "pkcs1pad" template, which is instantiated as an
akcipher_instance and retains the encrypt/decrypt operations of
RSAES-PKCS1-v1_5 (RFC 8017 sec 7.2).
* The new "pkcs1" template, which is instantiated as a sig_instance
and contains the sign/verify operations of RSASSA-PKCS1-v1_5
(RFC 8017 sec 8.2).
In a separate step, rsa-pkcs1pad.c could optionally be renamed to
rsaes-pkcs1.c for clarity. Additional "oaep" and "pss" templates
could be added for RSAES-OAEP and RSASSA-PSS.
Note that it's currently allowed to allocate a "pkcs1pad(rsa)" transform
without specifying a hash algorithm. That makes sense if the transform
is only used for encrypt/decrypt and continues to be supported. But for
sign/verify, such transforms previously did not insert the Full Hash
Prefix into the padding. The resulting message encoding was incompliant
with EMSA-PKCS1-v1_5 (RFC 8017 sec 9.2) and therefore nonsensical.
From here on in, it is no longer allowed to allocate a transform without
specifying a hash algorithm if the transform is used for sign/verify
operations. This simplifies the code because the insertion of the Full
Hash Prefix is no longer optional, so various "if (digest_info)" clauses
can be removed.
There has been a previous attempt to forbid transform allocation without
specifying a hash algorithm, namely by commit c0d20d22e0ad ("crypto:
rsa-pkcs1pad - Require hash to be present"). It had to be rolled back
with commit b3a8c8a5ebb5 ("crypto: rsa-pkcs1pad: Allow hash to be
optional [ver #2]"), presumably because it broke allocation of a
transform which was solely used for encrypt/decrypt, not sign/verify.
Avoid such breakage by allowing transform allocation for encrypt/decrypt
with and without specifying a hash algorithm (and simply ignoring the
hash algorithm in the former case).
So again, specifying a hash algorithm is now mandatory for sign/verify,
but optional and ignored for encrypt/decrypt.
The new sig_alg API uses kernel buffers instead of sglists, which
avoids the overhead of copying signature and digest from sglists back
into kernel buffers. rsassa-pkcs1.c is thus simplified quite a bit.
sig_alg is always synchronous, whereas the underlying "rsa" akcipher_alg
may be asynchronous. So await the result of the akcipher_alg, similar
to crypto_akcipher_sync_{en,de}crypt().
As part of the migration, rename "rsa_digest_info" to "hash_prefix" to
adhere to the spec language in RFC 9580. Otherwise keep the code
unmodified wherever possible to ease reviewing and bisecting. Leave
several simplification and hardening opportunities to separate commits.
rsassa-pkcs1.c uses modern __free() syntax for allocation of buffers
which need to be freed by kfree_sensitive(), hence a DEFINE_FREE()
clause for kfree_sensitive() is introduced herein as a byproduct.

pkcs1pad_set_pub_key() and pkcs1pad_set_priv_key() are almost identical.
The upcoming migration of sign/verify operations from rsa-pkcs1pad.c
into a separate crypto_template will require another copy of the exact
same functions. When RSASSA-PSS and RSAES-OAEP are introduced, each
will need yet another copy.
Deduplicate the functions into a single one which lives in a common
header file for reuse by RSASSA-PKCS1-v1_5, RSASSA-PSS and RSAES-OAEP.

Commit 6cb8815f41a9 ("crypto: sig - Add interface for sign/verify")
began a transition of asymmetric sign/verify operations from
crypto_akcipher to a new crypto_sig frontend.
Internally, the crypto_sig frontend still uses akcipher_alg as backend,
however:
"The link between sig and akcipher is meant to be temporary. The
plan is to create a new low-level API for sig and then migrate
the signature code over to that from akcipher."

are still based on crypto_akcipher, whilst others are already based on
crypto_sig. Allow for that by building a fork into crypto_sig_*() API
calls (i.e. crypto_sig_maxsize() and friends) such that one of the two
backends is selected based on the transform's cra_type.

Pull x86 kvm updates from Paolo Bonzini:
"x86:
- KVM currently invalidates the entirety of the page tables, not just
those for the memslot being touched, when a memslot is moved or
deleted.
This does not traditionally have particularly noticeable overhead,
but Intel's TDX will require the guest to re-accept private pages
if they are dropped from the secure EPT, which is a non starter.
Actually, the only reason why this is not already being done is a
bug which was never fully investigated and caused VM instability
with assigned GeForce GPUs, so allow userspace to opt into the new
behavior.
- Advertise AVX10.1 to userspace (effectively prep work for the
"real" AVX10 functionality that is on the horizon)
- Rework common MSR handling code to suppress errors on userspace
accesses to unsupported-but-advertised MSRs
This will allow removing (almost?) all of KVM's exemptions for
userspace access to MSRs that shouldn't exist based on the vCPU
model (the actual cleanup is non-trivial future work)
- Rework KVM's handling of x2APIC ICR, again, because AMD (x2AVIC)
splits the 64-bit value into the legacy ICR and ICR2 storage,
whereas Intel (APICv) stores the entire 64-bit value at the ICR
offset
- Fix a bug where KVM would fail to exit to userspace if one was
triggered by a fastpath exit handler
- Add fastpath handling of HLT VM-Exit to expedite re-entering the
guest when there's already a pending wake event at the time of the

signalling SHUTDOWN (the SHUTDOWN hits the VM altogether, not the
nested guest)
- Overhaul the "unprotect and retry" logic to more precisely identify
cases where retrying is actually helpful, and to harden all retry
paths against putting the guest into an infinite retry loop
- Add support for yielding, e.g. to honor NEED_RESCHED, when zapping
rmaps in the shadow MMU
- Refactor pieces of the shadow MMU related to aging SPTEs in
prepartion for adding multi generation LRU support in KVM
- Don't stuff the RSB after VM-Exit when RETPOLINE=y and AutoIBRS is

Generic:
- Register KVM's cpuhp and syscore callbacks when enabling
virtualization in hardware, as the sole purpose of said callbacks
is to disable and re-enable virtualization as needed
- Enable virtualization when KVM is loaded, not right before the
first VM is created
Together with the previous change, this simplifies a lot the logic
of the callbacks, because their very existence implies
virtualization is enabled
- Fix a bug that results in KVM prematurely exiting to userspace for
coalesced MMIO/PIO in many cases, clean up the related code, and
add a testcase
- Fix a bug in kvm_clear_guest() where it would trigger a buffer
overflow _if_ the gpa+len crosses a page boundary, which thankfully

Pull driver core updates from Greg KH:
"Here is a small set of patches for the driver core code for 6.12-rc1.
This set is the one that caused the most delay on my side, due to lots
of last-minute reports of problems in the async shutdown feature that
was added. In the end, I've reverted all of the patches in that series
so we are back to "normal" and the patch set is being reworked for the
next merge window.
Other than the async shutdown patches that were reverted, included in
here are:
- minor driver core cleanups
- minor driver core bus and class api cleanups and simplifications
for some callbacks
- some const markings of structures
- other even more minor cleanups
All of these, including the last minute reverts, have been in
linux-next, but all of the reports of problems in linux-next were
before the reverts happened. After the reverts, all is good"

no_llseek had been defined to NULL two years ago, in commit 868941b14441
("fs: remove no_llseek")
To quote that commit,
At -rc1 we'll need do a mechanical removal of no_llseek -
git grep -l -w no_llseek | grep -v porting.rst | while read i; do
sed -i '/\<no_llseek\>/d' $i
done
would do it.
Unfortunately, that hadn't been done. Linus, could you do that now, so
that we could finally put that thing to rest? All instances are of the
form
.llseek = no_llseek,
so it's obviously safe.

Currently, there is an assembler message when generating kernel/bpf/core.o
under CONFIG_OBJTOOL with LoongArch compiler toolchain:
Warning: setting incorrect section attributes for .rodata..c_jump_table
This is because the section ".rodata..c_jump_table" should be readonly,
but there is a "W" (writable) part of the flags:

There is no above issue on x86 due to the generated section flag is only
"A" (allocatable). In order to silence the warning on LoongArch, specify
the attribute like ".rodata..c_jump_table,\"a\",@progbits #" explicitly,
then the section attribute of ".rodata..c_jump_table" must be readonly
in the kernel/bpf/core.o file.

memfd_pin_folios followed by unpin_folios leaves resv_huge_pages elevated
if the pages were not already faulted in. During a normal page fault,
resv_huge_pages is consumed here:
hugetlb_fault()
alloc_hugetlb_folio()
dequeue_hugetlb_folio_vma()
dequeue_hugetlb_folio_nodemask()
dequeue_hugetlb_folio_node_exact()
free_huge_pages--
resv_huge_pages--
During memfd_pin_folios, the page is created by calling
alloc_hugetlb_folio_nodemask instead of alloc_hugetlb_folio, and
resv_huge_pages is not modified:

alloc_hugetlb_folio_nodemask()
dequeue_hugetlb_folio_nodemask()
dequeue_hugetlb_folio_node_exact()
free_huge_pages--
alloc_hugetlb_folio_nodemask has other callers that must not modify
resv_huge_pages. Therefore, to fix, define an alternate version of
alloc_hugetlb_folio_nodemask for this call site that adjusts
resv_huge_pages.

The logging was questionable to begin with, but it seems to actively
deadlock on the task lock.
"On second thought, let's not log core dump failures. 'Tis a silly place"
because if you can't tell your core dump is truncated, maybe you should
just fix your debugger instead of adding bugs to the kernel.

scatterlist allocations can be chained, and thus all iterations need to
use the chain-aware iterators. Switch the newly added tracing to use the
proper iterators so that they work with chained scatterlists.

Patch #1 and #2 handle an esoteric scenario: Given two tasks sending UDP
packets to one another, two packets of the same flow in each direction
handled by different CPUs that result in two conntrack objects in NEW
state, where reply packet loses race. Then, patch #3 adds a testcase for
this scenario. Series from Florian Westphal.
1) NAT engine can falsely detect a port collision if it happens to pick
up a reply packet as NEW rather than ESTABLISHED. Add extra code to
detect this and suppress port reallocation in this case.
2) To complete the clash resolution in the reply direction, extend conntrack
logic to detect clashing conntrack in the reply direction to existing entry.

For historical reasons there are two clash resolution spots in
netfilter, one in nfnetlink_queue and one in conntrack core.
nfnetlink_queue one was added first: If a colliding entry is found, NAT
NAT transformation is reversed by calling nat engine again with altered
tuple.
See commit 368982cd7d1b ("netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: resolve clash for
unconfirmed conntracks") for details.
One problem is that nf_reroute() won't take an action if the queueing
doesn't occur in the OUTPUT hook, i.e. when queueing in forward or
postrouting, packet will be sent via the wrong path.
Another problem is that the scenario addressed (2nd UDP packet sent with
identical addresses while first packet is still being processed) can also
occur without any nfqueue involvement due to threaded resolvers doing
A and AAAA requests back-to-back.
This lead us to add clash resolution logic to the conntrack core, see
commit 6a757c07e51f ("netfilter: conntrack: allow insertion of clashing
entries"). Instead of fixing the nfqueue based logic, lets remove it
and let conntrack core handle this instead.
Retain the ->update hook for sake of nfqueue based conntrack helpers.
We could axe this hook completely but we'd have to split confirm and
helper logic again, see commit ee04805ff54a ("netfilter: conntrack: make
conntrack userspace helpers work again").
This SHOULD NOT be backported to kernels earlier than v5.6; they lack
adequate clash resolution handling.

The work can submit URBs and the URBs can schedule the work.
This cycle needs to be broken, when a device is to be stopped.
Use a flag to do so.
This is a design issue as old as the driver.

Add for_each_tracepoint_in_module() function to iterate tracepoints in
a module. This API is needed for handling tracepoints in a loading
module from tracepoint_module_notifier callback function.
This also update for_each_module_tracepoint() to pass the module to
callback function so that it can find module easily.

On PVH dom0, when passthrough a device to domU, QEMU and xl tools
want to use gsi number to do pirq mapping, see QEMU code
xen_pt_realize->xc_physdev_map_pirq, and xl code
pci_add_dm_done->xc_physdev_map_pirq, but in current codes, the gsi
number is got from file /sys/bus/pci/devices/<sbdf>/irq, that is
wrong, because irq is not equal with gsi, they are in different
spaces, so pirq mapping fails.
And in current linux codes, there is no method to get gsi
for userspace.
For above purpose, record gsi of pcistub devices when init
pcistub and add a new syscall into privcmd to let userspace
can get gsi when they have a need.

In PVH dom0, the gsis don't get registered, but the gsi of
a passthrough device must be configured for it to be able to be
mapped into a domU.
When assigning a device to passthrough, proactively setup the gsi
of the device during that process.

When device on dom0 side has been reset, the vpci on Xen side
won't get notification, so that the cached state in vpci is
all out of date with the real device state.
To solve that problem, add a new function to clear all vpci
device state when device is reset on dom0 side.
And call that function in pcistub_init_device. Because when
using "pci-assignable-add" to assign a passthrough device in
Xen, it will reset passthrough device and the vpci state will
out of date, and then device will fail to restore bar state.
