2021-06-04dt-bindings: i2c: Move i2c-omap.txt to YAML formatVignesh Raghavendra1-37/+0
Convert i2c-omap.txt to YAML schema for better checks and documentation. Following properties were used in DT but were not documented in txt bindings and has been included in YAML schema: 1. Include ti,am4372-i2c compatible 2. Document clocks property Signed-off-by: Vignesh Raghavendra <vigneshr@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@kernel.org>
2020-12-10dt-bindings: i2c: Add compatible string for AM64 SoCAswath Govindraju1-0/+1
Add compatible string for AM64 SoC in device tree binding of OMAP I2C modules as the same IP is used. Signed-off-by: Aswath Govindraju <a-govindraju@ti.com> Acked-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@kernel.org>
2019-06-26dt-bindings: i2c: omap: Add new compatible for J721E SoCsPeter Ujfalusi1-0/+1
J721E SoCs have same I2C IP as OMAP SoCs. Add new compatible to handle J721E SoCs. Signed-off-by: Peter Ujfalusi <peter.ujfalusi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Vignesh Raghavendra <vigneshr@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2018-11-09dt-bindings: i2c: omap: Add new compatible for AM654 SoCsVignesh R1-2/+6
AM654 SoCs have same I2C IP as OMAP SoCs. Add new compatible to handle AM654 SoCs. While at that reformat the existing compatible list for older SoCs to list one valid compatible per line. 2013-11-15i2c: omap: Fix missing device tree flags for omap2Tony Lindgren1-1/+2
As we claim to support device tree for mach-omap2, we should have the necessary flags in the driver to make it usable. Cc: linux-i2c@vger.kernel.org Acked-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
2012-11-15bindings: i2c: use consistent naming for i2c binding descriptionsWolfram Sang1-0/+30
Filenames of devictree binding documentation seems to be arbitrary and for me it is unneeded hazzle to find the corresponding documentation for a specific driver. Naming the description the same as the driver is a lot easier and makes sense to me since the driver defines the binding it understands. Also, remove a reference in one source to the binding documentation, since path information easily gets stale.
