2021-07-16dt-bindings: net: fec: convert fsl,*fec bindings to yamlJoakim Zhang1-95/+0
In order to automate the verification of DT nodes convert fsl-fec.txt to fsl, fec.yaml, and pass binding check with below command. $ make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- dt_binding_check DT_SCHEMA_FILES=Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/fsl,fec.yaml DTEX Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/fsl,fec.example.dts DTC Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/fsl,fec.example.dt.yaml CHECK Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/fsl,fec.example.dt.yaml Signed-off-by: Joakim Zhang <qiangqing.zhang@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2020-05-26dt-bindings: fec: update the gpr propertyFugang Duan1-2/+5
- rename the 'gpr' property string to 'fsl,stop-mode'. - Update the property to define gpr register offset and bit in DT, since different instance have different gpr bit. v2: * rename 'gpr' property string to 'fsl,stop-mode'. 2020-04-20net: ethernet: fec: Allow configuration of MDIO bus speedAndrew Lunn1-0/+1
MDIO busses typically operate at 2.5MHz. However many devices can operate at faster speeds. This then allows more MDIO transactions per second, useful for Ethernet switch statistics, or Ethernet PHY TDR data. Allow the bus speed to be configured, using the standard "clock-frequency" property, which i2c busses use to indicate the bus speed. Before using this property, ensure all devices on the bus do actually support the requested clock speed. 2019-08-12dt-bindings: fec: explicitly mark deprecated propertiesSven Van Asbroeck1-13/+17
fec's gpio phy reset properties have been deprecated. Update the dt-bindings documentation to explicitly mark them as such, and provide a short description of the recommended alternative. Signed-off-by: Sven Van Asbroeck <TheSven73@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2017-12-11dt-bindings: fec: Make the phy-reset-gpio polarity explicitFabio Estevam1-2/+2
The GPIO polarity passed to phy-reset-gpio is ignored by the FEC driver and it is assumed to be active low. It can be active high only when the 'phy-reset-active-high' property is present. The current examples pass active high polarity and work fine, but in order to improve the documentation make it explicit what the real polarity is. 2017-11-08net: fec: Let fec_ptp have its own interrupt routineTroy Kisky1-0/+13
This is better for code locality and should slightly speed up normal interrupts. This also allows PPS clock output to start working for i.mx7. This is because i.mx7 was already using the limit of 3 interrupts, and needed another. 2017-05-24net: fec: add post PHY reset delay DT propertyQuentin Schulz1-0/+4
Some PHY require to wait for a bit after the reset GPIO has been toggled. This adds support for the DT property `phy-reset-post-delay` which gives the delay in milliseconds to wait after reset. If the DT property is not given, no delay is observed. Post reset delay greater than 1000ms are invalid. 2016-06-12ARM: imx6: disable deeper idle states when FEC is active w/o HW workaroundLucas Stach1-0/+3
The i.MX6 Q/DL has an erratum (ERR006687) that prevents the FEC from waking the CPUs when they are in wait(unclocked) state. As the hardware workaround isn't applicable to all boards, disable the deeper idle state when the workaround isn't present and the FEC is in use. This allows to safely run a kernel with CPUidle enabled on all i.MX6 boards. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Acked-by: David S. 2014-12-31net: fec: add Wake-on-LAN supportNimrod Andy1-0/+2
Support for Wake-on-LAN using Magic Packet. ENET IP supports sleep mode in low power status, when system enter suspend status, Magic packet can wake up system even if all SOC clocks are gate. The patch doing below things: - flagging the device as a wakeup source for the system, as well as its Wake-on-LAN interrupt - prepare the hardware for entering WoL mode - add standard ethtool WOL interface - enable the ENET interrupt to wake us Tested on i.MX6q/dl sabresd, sabreauto boards, i.MX6SX arm2 boards. 2014-02-18DT: net: document Ethernet bindings in one placeSergei Shtylyov1-4/+1
This patch is an attempt to gather the Ethernet related bindings in one file, like it's done in the MMC and some other subsystems. It should save some of the trouble of documenting several properties over and over in each binding document, instead only making reference to the main file. I have used the Embedded Power Architecture(TM) Platform Requirements (ePAPR) standard as a base for the properties description, also documenting some ad-hoc properties that have been introduced over time despite having direct analogs in ePAPR.
