2020-01-23dt-bindings: PCI: Convert generic host binding to DT schemaRob Herring1-101/+0
Convert the generic PCI host binding to DT schema. The derivative Juno, PLDA XpressRICH3-AXI, and Designware ECAM bindings all just vary in their compatible strings. The simplest way to convert those to schema is just add them into the common generic PCI host schema. The HiSilicon ECAM and Cavium ThunderX PEM bindings have an additional 'reg' entry, but are otherwise the same binding as well. 2018-11-20Documentation: Use "while" instead of "whilst"Will Deacon1-1/+1
Whilst making an unrelated change to some Documentation, Linus sayeth: | Afaik, even in Britain, "whilst" is unusual and considered more | formal, and "while" is the common word. | | [...] | | Can we just admit that we work with computers, and we don't need to | use þe eald Englisc spelling of words that most of the world never | uses? dictionary.com refers to the word as "Chiefly British", which is probably an undesirable attribute for technical documentation. Replace all occurrences under Documentation/ with "while". 2015-10-09PCI: generic: Fix address window calculation for non-zero starting busDavid Daney1-2/+3
Make the offset from the beginning of the "reg" property be from the starting bus number, rather than zero. Hoist the invariant size calculation out of the mapping for loop. Update host-generic-pci.txt to clarify the semantics of the "reg" property with respect to non-zero starting bus numbers. 2014-05-30PCI: generic: Add generic PCI host controller driverWill Deacon1-0/+100
Add support for a generic PCI host controller, such as a firmware-initialised device with static windows or an emulation by something such as kvmtool. The controller itself has no configuration registers and has its address spaces described entirely by the device-tree (using the bindings from ePAPR). Both CAM and ECAM are supported for Config Space accesses. Add corresponding documentation for the DT binding. [bhelgaas: currently uses the ARM-specific pci_common_init_dev() interface] Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Reviewed-by: Liviu Dudau <liviu.dudau@arm.com>
