2017-09-05dt-bindings: Remove "status" from examplesRob Herring1-3/+0
Pretty much any node can have a status property, so it doesn't need to be in examples. Converted with the following command and removed examples with SoC and board specific splits: git grep -l -E 'status.*=.*' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -E '/\sstatus.*=.*"(disabled|ok|okay)/d' Acked-by: Mark Rutland <mark.rutland@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2015-10-04tty: serial: msm: Add RX DMA supportIvan T. Ivanov1-0/+3
Add receive DMA support for UARTDM type of controllers. Tested on APQ8064, which have UARTDM v1.3 and ADM DMA engine and APQ8016, which have UARTDM v1.4 and BAM DMA engine. Signed-off-by: Ivan T. Ivanov <ivan.ivanov@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

Let's fix up the msm serial device bindings so that it's clearer what hardware is supported. Instead of using hsuart (for high speed uart) let's use uartdm because that matches the actual name of the hardware. Also, let's add the version information in case we need to differentiate between different versions of the hardware in the future. Finally, lets specify that clocks are required (the clock bindings didn't exist when the original binding was written) and also specify dma bindings just in case we want to use it in software. We split the binding into two files to make it clearer what's required and not required.
