2020-10-05ARC: [plat-eznps]: Drop support for EZChip NPS platformVineet Gupta3-272/+0
NPS customers are no longer doing active development, as evident from rand config build failures reported in recent times, so drop support for NPS platform. Tested-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Vineet Gupta <vgupta@synopsys.com>
2020-08-27irqchip/eznps: Fix build error for !ARC700 buildsVineet Gupta1-1/+0
eznps driver is supposed to be platform independent however it ends up including stuff from inside arch/arc headers leading to rand config build errors. The quick hack to fix this (proper fix is too much chrun for non active user-base) is to add following to nps platform agnostic header. - copy AUX_IENABLE from arch/arc header - move CTOP_AUX_IACK from arch/arc/plat-eznps/*/** Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Reported-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Link: https://lkml.kernel.org/r/20200824095831.5lpkmkafelnvlpi2@linutronix.de Signed-off-by: Vineet Gupta <vgupta@synopsys.com>
2019-07-16arch: replace _BITUL() in kernel-space headers with BIT()Masahiro Yamada1-7/+8
Now that BIT() can be used from assembly code, we can safely replace _BITUL() with equivalent BIT(). UAPI headers are still required to use _BITUL(), but there is no more reason to use it in kernel headers. BIT() is shorter. 2018-07-30arc: [plat-eznps] fix data type errors in platform headersRandy Dunlap1-0/+1
Add <linux/types.h> to fix build errors. Both ctop.h and <soc/nps/common.h> use u32 types and cause many errors. Examples: ../include/soc/nps/common.h:71:4: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 __reserved:20, cluster:4, core:4, thread:4; ../include/soc/nps/common.h:76:3: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 value; ../include/soc/nps/common.h:124:4: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 base:8, cl_x:4, cl_y:4, ../include/soc/nps/common.h:127:3: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 value; ../arch/arc/plat-eznps/include/plat/ctop.h:83:4: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 gen:1, gdis:1, clk_gate_dis:1, asb:1, ../arch/arc/plat-eznps/include/plat/ctop.h:86:3: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 value; ../arch/arc/plat-eznps/include/plat/ctop.h:93:4: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 csa:22, dmsid:6, __reserved:3, cs:1; ../arch/arc/plat-eznps/include/plat/ctop.h:95:3: error: unknown type name 'u32' u32 value; Cc: linux-snps-arc@lists.infradead.org Cc: Ofer Levi <oferle@mellanox.com> Reviewed-by: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Vineet Gupta <vgupta@synopsys.com>
2018-07-30ARC: [plat-eznps] Add missing struct nps_host_reg_aux_dpcOfer Levi1-0/+9
Fixing compilation issue caused by missing struct nps_host_reg_aux_dpc definition. 2017-08-28ARC: [plat-eznps] avoid toggling of DPC registerElad Kanfi1-0/+1
HW bug description: in case of HW thread context switch the dpc configuration of the exiting thread is dragged one cycle into the next thread. In order to avoid the consequences of this bug, the DPC register is set to an initial value, and not changed afterwards. 2017-08-28ARC: [plat-eznps] use schd.wft instruction instead of sleep at idle taskNoam Camus1-0/+1
When HW threads are active we want CPU to enter idle state only for the calling HW thread and not to put on sleep all HW threads sharing this core. For this need the NPS400 got dedicated instruction so only calling thread is entring sleep and all other are still awake and can execute instructions. 2016-11-30soc: Support for NPS HW schedulingNoam Camus1-2/+0
This new header file is for NPS400 SoC (part of ARC architecture). The header file includes macros for save/restore of HW scheduling. The control of HW scheduling is achieved by writing core registers. This code was moved from arc/plat-eznps so it can be used from drivers/clocksource/, available only for CONFIG_EZNPS_MTM_EXT. 2016-05-09ARC: [plat-eznps] Use dedicated identity auxiliary register.Noam Camus1-0/+9
With generic "identity" num of CPUs is limited to 256 (8 bit). We use our alternative AUX register GLOBAL_ID (12 bit). Now we can support up to 4096 CPUs. Signed-off-by: Noam Camus <noamc@ezchip.com>
