As we proceed to untangle the dependencies between platform code and driver code, the amount of changes in this category is fortunately shrinking, for 3.11 we have 16 branches here and 101 non-merge changesets, the majority of which are for the stedma40 dma engine driver used in the ux500 platform. Cleaning up that code touches multiple subsystems, but gets rid of the dependency in the end. The mailbox code moved out from mach-omap2 to drivers/mailbox is an intermediate step and is still omap specific at the moment. This is wrong since this is an SoC feature, it is not board dependent. It is the same ASIC under all circumstances and functionality does not vary with board family. The DMA40 controller uses two sets of base addresses. In order to have the resources setup by the of_platform framework so they are searchable by name instead of index, we have to set names for them. The names have to be the same as the ones used to fetch them back out of the resource structure. 2013-03-27ARM: ux500: Apply the TCPM and TCDM locations and sizes to dbx5x0 DTLee Jones1-2/+2
This fixes a regression introduced by commit: 05ec260 mfd:db8500-prcmu: update resource passing All DBx5x0 based SoCs have access to two Tightly Coupled Memory (TCM) locations based on the PRCMU itself. One area from program memory (TCPM) and one for data memory (TCDM). The PRCMU needs to know where these are in order to function correctly. However, these are currently passed though platform device resources, which can only be obtained if Device Tree booting isn't in use. 2013-03-12mfd: ab8500: Kill "reg" property from bindingArnd Bergmann1-2/+1
The ab8500 device is a child of the prcmu device, which is a memory mapped bus device, whose children are addressable using physical memory addresses, not using mailboxes, so a mailbox number in the ab8500 node cannot be parsed by DT. Nothing uses this number, since it was only introduced as part of the failed attempt to clean up prcmu mailbox handling, and we can simply remove it. 2013-01-18ARM: ux500: Provide a link from AB8500 Pinctrl to the PRCMULee Jones1-4/+4
The AB8500 Pinctrl driver uses PRCMU register addresses to control Pinctrl related functions. For this to happen, the Pinctrl driver needs the PRCMU base to work from. We can do that using standard Open Firmware (of_*) function calls, but first we need a mechanism to gain access to the PRCMU device node. We're going to use a Phandle in this case.
