2022-01-28ARM: dts: imx23-evk: Remove MX23_PAD_SSP1_DETECT from hog groupFabio Estevam1-1/+0
Currently, SD card fails to mount due to the following pinctrl error: [ 11.170000] imx23-pinctrl 80018000.pinctrl: pin SSP1_DETECT already requested by 80018000.pinctrl; cannot claim for 80010000.spi [ 11.180000] imx23-pinctrl 80018000.pinctrl: pin-65 (80010000.spi) status -22 [ 11.190000] imx23-pinctrl 80018000.pinctrl: could not request pin 65 (SSP1_DETECT) from group mmc0-pins-fixup.0 on device 80018000.pinctrl [ 11.200000] mxs-mmc 80010000.spi: Error applying setting, reverse things back Fix it by removing the MX23_PAD_SSP1_DETECT pin from the hog group as it is already been used by the mmc0-pins-fixup pinctrl group. With this change the rootfs can be mounted and the imx23-evk board can boot successfully. 2020-08-22ARM: dts: imx: Change gpmi nand node name to nand-controllerAnson Huang1-1/+1
Change i.MX SoCs nand node name from "gpmi-nand" to "nand-controller" to be compliant with yaml schema, it requires the nodename to be "nand-controller". Signed-off-by: Anson Huang <Anson.Huang@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2018-12-10ARM: dts: imx23: Fix memory node duplicationFabio Estevam1-0/+1
Boards based on imx23 have duplicate memory nodes: - One coming from the board dts file: memory@ - One coming from the imx23.dtsi file. Fix the duplication by removing the memory node from the dtsi file and by adding 'device_type = "memory";' in the board dts. 2018-09-26ARM: dts: imx: Fix SPI bus warningsRob Herring1-1/+1
dtc has new checks for SPI buses. Fix the warnings in node names and unit-addresses. There's over 100 warnings for FSL boards, a few examples: arch/arm/boot/dts/imx28-duckbill-2-spi.dtb: Warning (spi_bus_bridge): /apb@80000000/apbh@80000000/ssp@80014000: node name for SPI buses should be 'spi' arch/arm/boot/dts/imx53-ppd.dtb: Warning (spi_bus_bridge): /soc/aips@50000000/spba@50000000/ecspi@50010000: node name for SPI buses should be 'spi' arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6dl-colibri-eval-v3.dtb: Warning (spi_bus_reg): /soc/aips-bus@2000000/spba-bus@2000000/spi@2014000/mcp251x@1: SPI bus unit address format error, expected "0" Cc: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org> Cc: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Cc: Pengutronix Kernel Team <kernel@pengutronix.de> Cc: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Cc: NXP Linux Team <linux-imx@nxp.com> Cc: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com> Cc: Stefan Agner <stefan@agner.ch> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Reviewed-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Acked-by: Stefan Agner <stefan@agner.ch> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2018-08-27ARM: dts: imx23-evk: Convert to the new display bindingsFabio Estevam1-24/+24
imx23-evk board has a Seiko 43WVF1G parallel display. Instead of hardcoding the display timings in the device tree, use the "sii,43wvf1g" compatible instead. This aligns with the new mxsfb bindings scheme documented at: Documentation/devicetree/bindings/display/mxsfb.txt Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>

2018-02-12ARM: dts: imx: Add memory node unit nameMarco Franchi1-1/+1
Fix the following warnings from dtc by adding the unit name to memory nodes: Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name Converted using the following command: perl -p0777i -e 's/memory \{\n\t\treg = \<0x+([0-9a-f])/memory\@$1$\0000000 \{\n\t\treg = <0x$1/m' `find ./arch/arm/boot/dts -name "imx*"` The files below were manually fixed: -imx1-ads.dts -imx1-apf9328.dts -imx6q-pistachio.dts Signed-off-by: Marco Franchi <marco.franchi@nxp.com> Reviewed-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2014-09-16ARM: dts: imx23-evk: Fix display duplicate name warningFabio Estevam1-2/+2
The lcdif node has a property named "display" and also a child node called "display", which causes the following warning: device-tree: Duplicate name in lcdif@80030000, renamed to "display#1" Rename the child node name in order to avoid the warning. 2014-02-09ARM: dts: imx: use generic node name for fixed regulatorShawn Guo1-2/+6
The device tree specification recommends that generic name should be used for nodes. So instead of naming those fixed regulator nodes arbitrarily, let's use the generic name 'regulator@num' for those nodes. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>

2013-09-26ARM: dts: mxs: modify mx23/mx28 dts files to use pinctrl headersLothar Waßmann1-5/+5
Convert mx23/mx28 dts filed to use the pinctrl header files. NOTE: During automatic conversion of these files to use the pinconfig definitions an inconsistency has been found in: arch/arm/boot/dts/imx28-apx4devkit.dts According to the comment the function for pad SSP2_SS0 should have been MX28_PAD_SSP2_SS0__GPIO_2_19, while the given value 0x2131 represents: MX28_PAD_SSP2_SS0__AUART3_TX I used the later (though probably wrong) definition because that's what is actually being used in the DTB. 2013-04-08video: mxsfb: Introduce regulator supportFabio Estevam1-1/+10
Instead of using a custom binding for retrieving the GPIO that activates the LCD from devicetree, use a standard regulator. This approach has the advantage to be more generic. For example: in the case of a board that has a PMIC supplying the LCD voltage, the current approach would not work, as it only searches for a GPIO pin. 2012-08-23ARM: mxs: Let mmc0 pin detect be genericFabio Estevam1-0/+1
Instead of assigning SSP1_DETECT inside mmc0_4bit_pins_a, let the board dts handle this setup. Not every board will use MX23_PAD_SSP1_DETECT as SSP1 functionality. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
2012-08-23ARM: mxs: Rename 'hog-gpios'Fabio Estevam1-1/+1
hog_pins is used to setup the pin functions, and it is not neccesarily used only for GPIO pins, so use only 'hog' to describe a more generic term. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
