2020-08-30ARM: dts: imx: Fix the SPI chipselect polarityFabio Estevam1-1/+1
The conversion of the spi-imx driver to use GPIO descriptors in commit 8cdcd8aeee28 ("spi: imx/fsl-lpspi: Convert to GPIO descriptors") helped to detect the following SPI chipselect polarity mismatch on an imx6q-sabresd: [ 4.854337] m25p80@0 enforce active low on chipselect handle Prior to the above commit, the chipselect polarity passed via cs-gpios property was ignored and considered active-low. The reason for such mismatch is clearly explained in the comments inside drivers/gpio/gpiolib-of.c: * SPI children have active low chip selects * by default. This can be specified negatively * by just omitting "spi-cs-high" in the * device node, or actively by tagging on * GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW as flag in the device * tree. If the line is simultaneously * tagged as active low in the device tree * and has the "spi-cs-high" set, we get a * conflict and the "spi-cs-high" flag will * take precedence. To properly represent the SPI chipselect polarity, change it to active-low when the "spi-cs-high" property is absent. 2020-07-20ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Pass reset-assert-usFabio Estevam1-1/+2
According to the AR8031 datasheet: "When using crystal, clock is generated internally after the power is stable. In order to get reliable power-on-reset, it is recommended to keep asserting the reset low signal long enough (10 ms) to ensure the clock is stable and clock-to-reset (1 ms) requirement is satisfied." Pass the 'reset-assert-us' property to describe such requirement. While at it, use the 'reset-gpios' property inside the the mdio node instead of the deprecated usage of 'phy-reset-gpios'. 2020-07-20ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Add an mdio nodeFabio Estevam1-0/+11
imx6qdl-sabresd has an Atheros AR8031 Ethernet PHY at address 1. The AR8031 provides a 125MHz clock to the ENET_REF_CLK i.MX6 pin. Improve the Ethernet representation by adding an mdio node with such information. An advantage of adding the mdio node is that the AR8031 initialization code in the mx6sabresd board file in U-Boot can totally be removed. 2020-07-13ARM: dts: imx: default to #pwm-cells = <3> in the SoC dtsi filesUwe Kleine-König1-0/+1
The imx-pwm driver supports 3 cells and this is the more flexible setting. So use it by default and overwrite it back to two for the files that reference the PWMs with just 2 cells to minimize changes. This allows to drop explicit setting to 3 cells for the boards that already depend on this. The boards that are now using 2 cells explicitly can be converted to 3 individually. 2020-01-09ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Remove incorrect power supply assignmentAnson Huang1-4/+0
The vdd3p0 LDO's input should be from external USB VBUS directly, NOT PMIC's power supply, the vdd3p0 LDO's target output voltage can be controlled by SW, and it requires input voltage to be high enough, with incorrect power supply assigned, if the power supply's voltage is lower than the LDO target output voltage, it will return fail and skip the LDO voltage adjustment, so remove the power supply assignment for vdd3p0 to avoid such scenario. 2019-04-11ARM: dts: imx: Fix the AR803X phy-modeFabio Estevam1-1/+1
Commit 6d4cd041f0af ("net: phy: at803x: disable delay only for RGMII mode") exposed an issue on imx DTS files using AR8031/AR8035 PHYs. The end result is that the boards can no longer obtain an IP address via UDHCP, for example. Quoting Andrew Lunn: "The problem here is, all the DTs were broken since day 0. However, because the PHY driver was also broken, nobody noticed and it worked. Now that the PHY driver has been fixed, all the bugs in the DTs now become an issue" To fix this problem, the phy-mode property needs to be "rgmii-id", which has the following meaning as per Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/ethernet.txt: "RGMII with internal RX and TX delays provided by the PHY, the MAC should not add the RX or TX delays in this case)" Tested on imx6-sabresd, imx6sx-sdb and imx7d-pico boards with successfully restored networking. No less than twentythree thousand lines of additions! Just imagine the joy you will have of using your mainline kernel on newly supported hardware such as Rockchip Chromebooks, Freescale i.MX6UL boards or UniPhier hardware! For those of you feeling less adventurous, added hardware support on platforms such as TI DM814x and Gumstix Overo platforms might be more of your liking. We've got something for everyone here! Ahem. Cough. So, anyway... This is the usual large batch of DT updates. Lots and lots of smaller changes, some of the larger ones to point out are: - Rockchip veyron (Chromebook) support, as well as several other new boards - DRM support on Atmel AT91SAM9N12EK - USB additions on some Allwinner platforms - Mediatek MT6580 support - Freescale i.MX6UL support - cleanups for Renesas shmobile platforms - lots of added devices on LPC18xx - lots of added devices and boards on UniPhier There's also some dependent code added here, in particular some branches that are primarily merged through the clock tree" * tag 'armsoc-dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (389 commits) ARM: tegra: Add gpio-ranges property ARM: tegra: Fix AHB base address on Tegra20, Tegra30 and Tegra114 ARM: tegra: Add Tegra124 PMU support ARM: tegra: jetson-tk1: Add GK20A GPU DT node ARM: tegra: venice2: Add GK20A GPU DT node ARM: tegra: Add IOMMU node to GK20A ARM: tegra: Add CPU regulator to the Jetson TK1 device tree ARM: tegra: Add entries for cpufreq on Tegra124 ARM: tegra: Enable the DFLL on the Jetson TK1 ARM: tegra: Add the DFLL to Tegra124 device tree ARM: dts: zynq: Add devicetree entry for Xilinx Zynq reset controller. 2015-08-11ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Allow HDMI and LVDS to work simultaneouslyFabio Estevam1-0/+7
Currently it is not possible to have HDMI and LVDS working simultaneously, because both ports try to use PLL5. Move the LVDS clock parent to PLL3_USB_OTG, so that HDMI and LVDS can be driven from independent sources. With this change the LDB pixel clock goes to 68.57 MHz, which is still within the valid range for the HSD100PXN1 LVDS panel. 2015-07-24dts: imx6: fix sd card gpio polarity specified in device treeDong Aisheng1-4/+4
cd-gpios polarity should be changed to GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW and wp-gpios should be changed to GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH. Otherwise, the SD may not work properly due to wrong polarity inversion specified in DT after switch to common parsing function mmc_of_parse(). Pull ARM SoC DT updates from Arnd Bergmann: "The DT branch adds a lot of new stuff for additional SoC and board support. The branch is the largest one and contains 513 out of the total 972 non-merge arm-soc changesets for 3.19. Most of the changes are about enabling additional on-chip devices for existing machines, but there are also an unusual number of new SoC types being added this time: - AMLogic Meson8 - ARM Realview in DT mode - Allwinner A80 - Broadcom BCM47081 - Broadcom Cygnus - Freescale LS1021A - Freescale Vybrid 500 series - Mediatek MT6592, MT8127, MT8135 - STMicroelectronics STiH410 - Samsung Exynos4415 The level of support for the above differs widely, some are just stubs with nothing more than CPU, memory and a UART, but others are fairly complete. As usual, these get extended over time. There are also many new boards getting added, this is the list of model strings that are showing up in new dts files: - ARM RealView PB1176 - Altera SOCFPGA Arria 10 - Asus RT-N18U (BCM47081) - Buffalo WZR-1750DHP (BCM4708) - Buffalo WZR-600DHP2 (BCM47081) - Cygnus Enterprise Phone (BCM911360_ENTPHN) - D-Link DIR-665 - Google Spring - IGEP COM MODULE Rev. 2014-11-23ARM: dts: imx6: add pm_power_off support for i.mx6 chipsRobin Gong1-0/+4
All chips of i.mx6 can be powered off by programming SNVS. For example : On i.mx6q-sabresd board, PMIC_ON_REQ connect with external pmic ON/OFF pin, that will cause the whole PMIC powered off except VSNVS.
