2015-03-27ARM: Remove mach-msm and associated ARM architecture codeStephen Boyd1-121/+0
The maintainers for mach-msm no longer have any plans to support or test the platforms supported by this architecture[1]. Most likely there aren't any active users of this code anyway, so let's delete it. 2014-07-17tgt: defconfig cleanupBart Van Assche1-1/+0
Because of the removal of the scsi_tgt kernel module, the kbuild variables CONFIG_SCSI_TGT, CONFIG_SCSI_SRP_TGT_ATTRS and CONFIG_SCSI_FC_TGT_ATTRS are obsolete. This patch removes these variables. This patch is the result of the following command: find -name '*defconfig' | while read f; do grep -vwE 'CONFIG_SCSI_TGT|CONFIG_SCSI_SRP_TGT_ATTRS|CONFIG_SCSI_FC_TGT_ATTRS|CONFIG_SRP' $f >/tmp/t && mv /tmp/t $f; done Signed-off-by: Bart Van Assche <bvanassche@acm.org> Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Reviewed-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de>
2014-05-22ARM: config: Update msm_defconfigStephen Boyd1-22/+3
Now that DT based platforms are split out of mach-msm into mach-qcom, put back a non-DT based SoC into the msm_defconfig and stop selecting unsupported drivers. 2014-01-31ARM: msm_defconfig: Enable MSM clock driversStephen Boyd1-0/+4
This allows us to probe the clock controller devices and boot to a serial console on all DT enabled MSM platforms. 2014-01-23Merge tag 'boards-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-socLinus Torvalds1-0/+3
Pull ARM SoC board updates from Olof Johansson: "This branch is reducing in size for every release since most board-related changes have started happening in devicetrees now. Still, we have some things going on here. * Renesas platforms are still adding a bit more legacy device support, something that should trail off shortly as they move to full DT * We group most defconfig updates into this branch out of old habits * Removal of legacy OMAP2 platforms over to DT continues, and a handful of old code is being removed here" * tag 'boards-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (94 commits) ARM: dts: OMAP2: fix interrupt number for rng ARM: dts: Split omap3 pinmux core device ARM: dts: Add omap specific pinctrl defines to use padconf addresses ARM: bcm2835: bcm2835_defconfig updates ARM: msm_defconfig: Enable restart driver defconfig: msm_defconfig: Enable CONFIG_ARCH_MSM8974 ARM: msm: Add support for APQ8074 Dragonboard ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable S2MPS11 voltage regulator ARM: tegra: Enable DRM panel support ARM: shmobile: mackerel: Fix USBHS pinconf entry ARM: shmobile: Let Koelsch multiplatform boot with Koelsch DTB ARM: shmobile: Let Lager multiplatform boot with Lager DTB ARM: shmobile: Remove non-multiplatform Koelsch reference support ARM: shmobile: Remove non-multiplatform Lager reference support ARM: shmobile: koelsch-reference: Instantiate clkdevs for SCIF and CMT ARM: shmobile: lager-reference: Instantiate clkdevs for SCIF and CMT ARM: shmobile: koelsch-reference: Remove duplicate CCF initialization ARM: shmobile: lager-reference: Enable multiplaform kernel support ARM: shmobile: armadillo: Set backlight enable GPIO ARM: shmobile: Koelsch: add Ether support ... 2014-01-10ARM: msm_defconfig: Update for multi-platformStephen Boyd1-7/+4
ARCH_MSM is a hidden config option now so this defconfig needs to be updated to select ARCH_MSM_DT instead. While we're here, remove dead symbols (SSBI), drop selected symbols (ZRELADDR, PHYLIB, USB_PHY) and enable the MSM random driver (HW_RANDOM_MSM). 2013-04-29ARM: msm: USB_MSM_OTG needs USB_PHYArnd Bergmann1-0/+1
The Kconfig entry for USB_EHCI_MSM unconditionally selects USB_MSM_OTG, which is now only visible when USB_PHY is also enabled. A dependency for this has been added in the USB tree, this adds the now missing bit in the defconfig. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

2013-03-06ARM: msm: Concentrate defconfig on DT supported devicesStephen Boyd1-45/+108
Make msm_defconfig more focused on DT devices, i.e. MSM8660 and MSM8960. This will encourage us to focus our efforts on the devicetree-ification of mach-msm, and help us catch build errors quicker. Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David Brown <davidb@codeaurora.org>

2009-12-18ARM: Kill CONFIG_CPU_32Russell King1-1/+0
26-bit ARM support was removed a long time ago, and this symbol has been defined to be 'y' ever since. As it's never disabled anymore, we can kill it without any side effects. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2009-01-26eeprom: More consistent symbol namesJean Delvare1-1/+1
Now that all EEPROM drivers live in the same place, let's harmonize their symbol names. Also fix eeprom's dependencies, it definitely needs sysfs, and is no longer experimental after many years in the kernel tree. 2008-10-22[ARM] msm: rename ARCH_MSM7X00A to ARCH_MSMBrian Swetland1-1/+1
The MSM architecture covers a wider family of chips than just the MSM7X00A. Move to a more generic name, in perparation for supporting the specific SoC variants as sub-architectures (ARCH_MSM7X01A, ARCH_MSM722X, etc). This gives us ARCH_MSM for the (many) common peripherals. This also removes the unused/obsolete config item MSM7X00A_IDLE. Signed-off-by: Brian Swetland <swetland@google.com>
2008-01-26[ARM] msm: board file for MACH_HALIBUT (QCT MSM7200A)Brian Swetland1-0/+895
Add support for the Qualcomm MSM7200A eval board. Common devices are defined in common.c, to avoid excessive cut'n'pasting them into other board files. Signed-off-by: Brian Swetland <swetland@google.com>
