2012-03-24ARM: riscpc: move ecard.c to arch/arm/mach-rpcRussell King1-1231/+0
RiscPC is the only platform using the Acorn expansion card support, so move it into its mach-* directory. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-08-17ARM: io: RiscPC: make EASI_BASE a void iomem pointerRussell King1-1/+1
Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-08-17ARM: io: ecard: remove ioaddr() from ecard.cRussell King1-20/+9
Remove ioaddr() usage from ecard.c, updating (and renaming) the constants in RiscPC's hardware.h to contain the proper translation. As this gets rid of the last ioaddr() usage, kill that too. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-08-17ARM: io: ecard: move ioaddr() inside __ecard_addressRussell King1-5/+6
Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-03-29arm: Fold irq_set_chip/irq_set_handlerThomas Gleixner1-2/+2
Use irq_set_chip_and_handler() instead. Converted with coccinelle. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
2011-03-29arm: Cleanup the irq namespaceThomas Gleixner1-3/+3
Convert to the new function names. Automated with coccinelle. Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>

2009-01-06arm: struct device - replace bus_id with dev_name(), dev_set_name()Kay Sievers1-1/+1
Cc: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@vrfy.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2008-10-09[ARM] 5298/1: Drop desc_handle_irq()Dmitry Baryshkov1-4/+2
desc_handle_irq() was declared as obsolete since long ago. Replace it with generic_handle_irq() Signed-off-by: Dmitry Baryshkov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King1-1/+1
This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King1-1/+1
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-07-21arm: bus_id -> dev_name() and dev_set_name() conversionsKay Sievers1-1/+1

2008-07-21driver core: fix a lot of printk usages of bus_idGreg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+1
We have the dev_printk() variants for this kind of thing, use them instead of directly trying to access the bus_id field of struct device. This is done in order to remove bus_id entirely. Cc: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@vrfy.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2008-07-03[ARM] rpc: ecard: remove deprecated ecard_address() and relativesRussell King1-7/+6
ecard_address() is obsolete, and has been marked deprecated since at least 2.6.12-rc2. All in-tree users have been updated to use the new approach, so it's time to remove this. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-04-29proc: switch /proc/bus/ecard/devices to seq_file interfaceAlexey Dobriyan1-28/+26

2008-04-29proc: remove proc_busAlexey Dobriyan1-1/+1
Remove proc_bus export and variable itself. Using pathnames works fine and is slightly more understandable and greppable. Signed-off-by: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-05-11[ARM] ecard: add ecardm_iomap() / ecardm_iounmap()Russell King1-1/+18
Add devres ecardm_iomap() and ecardm_iounmap() for Acorn expansion cards. Convert all expansion card drivers to use them. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-11[ARM] ecard: add helper function for setting ecard irq opsRussell King1-0/+16
Rather than having every driver fiddle about setting its private IRQ operations and data, provide a helper function to contain this functionality in one place. Arrange to remove the driver-private IRQ operations and data when the device is removed from the driver, and remove the driver private code to do this. This fixes potential problems caused by drivers forgetting to remove these hooks. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-03[ARM] ecard: Convert card type enum to a flagRussell King1-5/+5
'type' in the struct expansion_card is only used to indicate whether this card is an EASI card or not. Therefore, having it as an enum is wasteful (and introduces additional noise when we come to remove the enum.) Convert it to a mere flag instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-03[ARM] ecard: Move private ecard junk out of asm/ecard.hRussell King1-0/+2
Move ecard.c private junk from asm/ecard.h to a local header file. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-03[ARM] ecard: silence new warning caused by previous commitRussell King1-1/+1
PTR_ERR()'s type is unsigned long, so formats when printing must be %ld, not %d. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-03[ARM] ecard: convert to use the kthread APIEric W. Biederman1-7/+7
This patch modifies the startup of kecardd to use kthread_run not a kernel_thread combination of kernel_thread and daemonize. Making the code slightly simpler and more maintainable. Signed-off-by: Eric W. Biederman <ebiederm@xmission.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-03[ARM] Set coherent DMA mask for Acorn expansion cardsRussell King1-0/+1
Although expansion cards can't do bus-master DMA, subsystems want to be able to use coherent memory for DMA purposes to these cards. Therefore, set the coherent DMA mask to allow such memory to be allocated. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-02-11[ARM] Use ARRAY_SIZE macro when appropriateAhmed S. Darwish1-1/+1
Use ARRAY_SIZE macro already defined in linux/kernel.h Signed-off-by: Ahmed S. Darwish <darwish.07@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-12-13[PATCH] getting rid of all casts of k[cmz]alloc() callsRobert P. J. Day1-1/+1
Run this: #!/bin/sh for f in $(grep -Erl "\([^\)]*\) *k[cmz]alloc" *) ; do echo "De-casting $f..." perl -pi -e "s/ ?= ?\([^\)]*\) *(k[cmz]alloc) *\(/ = \1\(/" $f done And then go through and reinstate those cases where code is casting pointers to non-pointers. And then drop a few hunks which conflicted with outstanding work. 2006-10-06Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds1-4/+4
Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2006-08-01[ARM] 3739/1: genirq updates: irq_chip, add and use irq_chip.nameDavid Brownell1-1/+2
Patch from David Brownell ARM genirq cleanups/updates: - Start switching platforms to newer APIs * use "irq_chip" name, not "irqchip" * providing irq_chip.name - Show irq_chip.name in /proc/interrupts, like on x86. This update a bit more than half of the ARM code. The irq_chip.name values were chosen to match docs (if I have them) or be otherwise obvious ("FPGA", "CPLD", or matching the code). Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-07-03[ARM] Fix ecard.c resource warnings.Russell King1-1/+1
Platforms which use ecard.c always have 32-bit resources, so might as well lose the "long" format strings. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2006-01-12[ARM] Convert some arm semaphores to mutexesArjan van de Ven1-3/+4
The arm clock semaphores are strict mutexes, convert them to the new mutex implementation Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-09-04[ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King1-2/+2
This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds1-0/+1210
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
