2021-06-12ARM: imx: add smp support for imx7dAnson Huang1-1/+2
Add SMP support for i.MX7D, including CPU hotplug support, for systems where TFA is not present. The motivation for bringing up the second i.MX7D core inside the kernel is that legacy vendor bootloaders usually do not implement PSCI support. This is a significant blocker for systems in the field that are running old bootloader versions to upgrade to a modern mainline kernel version, as only one CPU of the i.MX7D would be brought up. Bring up the second i.MX7D core inside the kernel to make the migration path to mainline kernel easier for the existing iMX7D users. 2021-05-23ARM: imx7d: remove Atheros AR8031 PHY fixupOleksij Rempel1-22/+0
This fixup configures the IO voltage and disables the SmartEEE functionality. If this patch breaks your system, enable AT803X_PHY driver and configure the PHY by the device tree: phy-connection-type = "rgmii-id"; ethernet-phy@X { reg = <0xX>; qca,smarteee-tw-us-1g = <24>; vddio-supply = <&vddh>; vddio: vddio-regulator { regulator-name = "VDDIO"; regulator-min-microvolt = <1800000>; regulator-max-microvolt = <1800000>; }; vddh: vddh-regulator { regulator-name = "VDDH"; }; }; Signed-off-by: Oleksij Rempel <o.rempel@pengutronix.de> Reviewed-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2020-05-20ARM: imx: use device_initcall for imx_soc_device_initPeng Fan1-6/+0
This is preparation to move imx_soc_device_init to drivers/soc/imx/ There is no reason to must put dt devices under /sys/devices/soc0, they could also be under /sys/devices/platform, so we could pass NULL as parent when calling of_platform_default_populate. Following soc-imx8.c soc-imx-scu.c using device_initcall, need to change return type to int type for imx_soc_device_init. 2019-08-24ARM: imx: stop adjusting ar8031 phy tx delayAndré Draszik1-6/+0
Recent changes to the Atheros at803x driver cause the approach taken here to stop working because commit 6d4cd041f0af ("net: phy: at803x: disable delay only for RGMII mode") and commit cd28d1d6e52e ("net: phy: at803x: Disable phy delay for RGMII mode") fix the AR8031 driver to configure the phy's (RX/TX) delays as per the 'phy-mode' in the device tree. In particular, the phy tx (and rx) delays are updated again as per the 'phy-mode' *after* the code in here runs. Things worked before above commits, because the AR8031 comes out of reset with RX delay enabled, and the at803x driver didn't touch the delay configuration at all when "rgmii" mode was selected. It appears the code in here tries to make device trees work that incorrectly specify "rgmii", but that can't work any more and it is imperative since above commits to have the phy-mode configured correctly in the device tree. I suspect there are a few imx7d based boards using the ar8031 phy and phy-mode = "rgmii", but given I don't know which ones exactly, I am not in a position to update the respective device trees. Hence this patch is simply removing the superfluous code from the imx7d initialisation. An alternative could be to add a warning instead, but that would penalize all boards that have been updated already. 2015-07-28ARM: appropriate __init annotation for const dataNicolas Pitre1-1/+1
Init data marked const should be annotated with __initconst for correctness and not __initdata. In some cases the array gathering references to that data has to be marked const as well.
