2014-02-22watchdog: orion: Make RSTOUT register a separate resourceEzequiel Garcia1-0/+1
In order to support other SoC, it's required to distinguish the 'control' timer register, from the 'rstout' register that enables system reset on watchdog expiration. To prevent a compatibility break, this commit adds a fallback to a hardcoded RSTOUT address. 2013-12-20ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, tooUwe Kleine-König1-10/+0
While <mach/timex.h> isn't used for multi-platform builds since long it still is for "normal" builds. As the previous patches fix all sites to not make use of this per-platform file, it can go now for good also for platforms that are not (yet) converted to multi-platform. Implements standby support for Kirkwood SoC. When the SoC enters standby state the memory PM units are disabled, the DDR is set in self-refresh mode, and the CPU is set in WFI. At this point there's no clock gating, as that is considered each driver's task. 2013-07-11Watchdog: allow orion_wdt to be built for DoveRussell King1-2/+0
The watchdog infrastructure in Dove is no different from that in Orion5x or Kirkwood, so let's enable it for Dove. The only things missing are a few register settings in Dove's bridge-regs.h. Rather than duplicating the same register bit masks for the RSTOUTn_MASK and BRIDGE_CAUSE registers, move the definitions into the watchdog driver itself. 2013-04-15arm: mach-kirkwood: convert to use mvebu-mbus driverThomas Petazzoni1-2/+5
This commit migrates the mach-kirkwood platforms to use the mvebu-mbus driver and therefore removes the Kirkwood-specific addr-map code. The kirkwood_init_early() function is now responsible for initializing the mvebu-mbus driver by calling mvebu_mbus_init(). The address decoding windows are now registered in the kirkwood_setup_wins() function. It is worth noting that the four PCIe address decoding windows will ultimately no longer have to be registered here: it will be done automatically by the PCIe driver once Kirkwood has been migrated to use the upcoming mvebu PCIe driver. We now define all virtual base address constants using IOMEM() so that those are naturally typed as void __iomem pointers, and we do the necessary adjustements in the mach-kirkwood code. Note that we introduce a few temporary additional "unsigned long" casts when calling into plat-orion functions. Those are removed by followup patches converting plat-orion functions to void __iomem pointers as well. Since we are going to use IOMEM() to define many base virtual addresses, we can no longer use binary or to define the individual register addresses ("binary or" arithmetic on pointers is not allowed). Instead, use the more conventional plus operator to do so. The binary or operators were actually not useful because the low-order bits of the base address were always zero, so the usage of the binary or operators was effectively identical to a plus operator. Most platforms don't need mach/gpio.h and it prevents multi-platform kernel images. Add CONFIG_NEED_MACH_GPIO_H and make platforns select it if they need gpio.h. This is platforms that define __GPIOLIB_COMPLEX or have lots of implicit includes pulled in by mach/gpio.h. at91 and omap have gpio clean-up pending and can drop CONFIG_NEED_MACH_GPIO_H once that is in. The orion watchdog is expecting to be passed the physcial address of the hardware, and will ioremap() it to give a virtual address it will use as the base address for the hardware. However, when creating the platform resource record, a virtual address was being used. Add the necassary #define's so we can pass the physical address as expected. Tested on Kirkwood and Orion5x. Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes, and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function no longer does anything useful. For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove these files entirely.
