2022-04-19ARM: pxa: split up mach/hardware.hArnd Bergmann1-1/+0
The mach/hardware.h is included in lots of places, and it provides three different things on pxa: - the cpu_is_pxa* macros - an indirect inclusion of mach/addr-map.h - the __REG() and io_pv2() helper macros Split it up into separate <linux/soc/pxa/cpu.h> and mach/pxa-regs.h headers, then change all the files that use mach/hardware.h to include the exact set of those three headers that they actually need, allowing for further more targeted cleanup. linux/soc/pxa/cpu.h can remain permanently exported and is now in a global location along with similar headers. pxa-regs.h and addr-map.h are only used in a very small number of drivers now and can be moved to arch/arm/mach-pxa/ directly when those drivers are to pass the necessary data as resources. 2020-01-23usb: phy: phy-gpio-vbus-usb: Convert to GPIO descriptorsLinus Walleij1-7/+11
Instead of using the legacy GPIO API and keeping track on polarity inversion semantics in the driver, switch to use GPIO descriptors for this driver and change all consumers in the process. This makes it possible to retire platform data completely: the only remaining platform data member was "wakeup" which was intended to make the vbus interrupt wakeup capable, but was not set by any users and thus remained unused. VBUS was not waking any devices up. Leave a comment about it so later developers using the platform can consider setting it to always enabled so plugging in USB wakes up the platform. 2018-12-17mmc: pxa: Use GPIO descriptor for powerLinus Walleij1-1/+0
After converting the PXA driver to use GPIO descriptors for card detect and write protect it is relatively simple to convert it to also use a descriptor for getting the optional power control GPIO. The polarity inversion flag can also go away from the platform data since this is indicated in the GPIO machine descriptor table. 2016-02-01ARM: pxa: define clock registers as __iomemArnd Bergmann1-3/+3
We should not dereference registers as pointers, so use readl/writel instead for these registers. The clock registers are accessed in multiple files, so we have to change them all at once. I stumbled over these registers while looking at something unrelated. There are in fact other registers with the same problem, but I did not try to address those at this point. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren1-1/+1
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. 2009-12-01[ARM] pxa: allow platforms to control which uarts are registeredRussell King1-0/+5
For some platforms, it is inappropriate to register all PXA UARTs. In some cases, the UARTs may not be used, and in others we may want to avoid registering the UARTs to allow other drivers (eg, FICP) to make use of the UART. In addition, a while back there was a request to be able to pass platform data to the UART driver. This patch enables all of this by providing functions platforms can call to register each individual UART. Considering the header mess ATM, it is not always possible to include the correct header files within board code. Let's keep this simple: <mach/pxa25x.h> - for pxa25x based platforms <mach/pxa27x.h> - for pxa27x based platforms <mach/pxa300.h> - for pxa300 based platforms <mach/pxa320.h> - for pxa320 based platforms <mach/pxa930.h> - for pxa930 based platforms NOTE: 1. one header one board file, they are not compatible (i.e. they have conflicting definitions which won't compile if included together). 2.
