s3c24xx and s3c64xx have a lot in common, but are split across three separate directories, which makes the interaction of the header files more complicated than necessary. Move all three directories into a new mach-s3c, with a minimal set of changes to each file. 2020-08-20fbdev: s3c2410fb: remove mach header dependencyArnd Bergmann1-1/+0
The s3c2410fb driver is too deeply intertwined with the s3c24xx platform code. Change it in a way that avoids the use of platform header files but having all interface data in a platform_data header, and the private register definitions next to the driver itself. One ugly bit here is that the driver pokes directly into gpio registers, which are owned by another driver. Passing the mapped addresses in platform_data is somewhat suboptimal, but it is a small improvement over the previous version. Remove the arch/arm/plat-samsung/include/plat/samsung-time.h header and move the contents to common.h headers in mach-s3c24xx and mach-s3c64xx. The definition of declared functions is already in common.c in mach directories, so it is logically to put declaration next to them. When refactoring and breaking out the includes for the machine-specific GPIO configuration, two files were created in <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3c[24|64]xx.h>, but as that namespace shall be used for defining data exchanged between machines and drivers, using it for these broad macros and config settings is wrong. Move the headers back into the machine-local <mach/gpio-samsung.h> file and think about the next step. 2013-12-20ARM: s3c24xx: get rid of custom <mach/gpio.h>Linus Walleij1-0/+1
This isolates the custom S3C24xx GPIO definition table to <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3x24xx.h> as this is used in a few different places in the kernel, removing the need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h> from <linux/gpio.h> and thus getting rid of a few nasty cross-dependencies. We also delete the nifty CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA stuff. The biggest this can ever be for the S3C24XX is CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA = 128, and then for CPU_S3C2443 or CPU_S3C2416 32*12 GPIOs are added, so 32*12+128 = 512 is the absolute roof value on this platform. So we set the size of ARCH_NR_GPIO to this and the GPIOs array will fit any S3C24XX platform, as per pattern from other archs. ChangeLog v2->v3: - Move the movement of the S3C64XX gpio.h file out of this patch and into the follow-up patch where it belongs. Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself.
