The spear13xx version of spear.h is completely different from the newly combined spear3xx/spear6xx version, but we can never build ARMv5 and ARMv7 platforms together, so there is no harm in putting all the contents into a single file and adding appropriate ifdefs. 2012-11-26ARM: SPEAr3xx: shirq: simplify and move the shared irq multiplexor to DTShiraz Hashim1-23/+16
SPEAr3xx architecture includes shared/multiplexed irqs for certain set of devices. The multiplexor provides a single interrupt to parent interrupt controller (VIC) on behalf of a group of devices. There can be multiple groups available on SPEAr3xx variants but not exceeding 4. The number of devices in a group can differ, further they may share same set of status/mask registers spanning across different bit masks. Also in some cases the group may not have enable or other registers. This makes software little complex. Present implementation was non-DT and had few complex data structures to decipher banks, number of irqs supported, mask and registers involved. This patch simplifies the overall design and convert it in to DT. It also removes all registration from individual SoC files and bring them in to common shirq.c. Most platforms don't need mach/gpio.h and it prevents multi-platform kernel images. Add CONFIG_NEED_MACH_GPIO_H and make platforns select it if they need gpio.h. This is platforms that define __GPIOLIB_COMPLEX or have lots of implicit includes pulled in by mach/gpio.h. at91 and omap have gpio clean-up pending and can drop CONFIG_NEED_MACH_GPIO_H once that is in. 2012-07-13Input: spear_keyboard - reconfigure operating frequency on suspendShiraz Hashim1-0/+2
On some platform it may happen that the input clock to keyboard may change during suspend, thus impacting its wakeup capability. There is no means for keyboard driver to know this frequency before hand. Hence introduce a platform data 'suspended_rate' which indicates the frequency during suspend at which keyboard operates. Accordingly reprogram keyboard while going into suspend and restore original configuration at the time of resume. 2012-04-22ARM: spear: remove most mach/*.h header contentsArnd Bergmann3-19/+2
The register and irq definitions in mach/*.h for spear3xx and spear6xx are now mostly obsolete, after the platforms have been converted to device tree based probing and the data is now part of the device tree files. The misc_regs.h contents are moved into clock.c because that is the only user, aside from the DMA_CHN_CFG that should eventually get handled differently. Some of the contents of mach/spear.h still remain, because they are used to set up the static map table, timer, uart and auxdata tables, but almost everything got removed. We might remove everything but the map table as the DT conversion completes, but that is not a priority. I've also made sure to make both copies of spear.h more or less identical so we can eventually combine them. The spear3?0.h files were only used by the spear3?0.c files, so I merged the contents in there and removed the bits that were unused. This is something that should still be looked at. Several platforms create IOMEM defines for casting to 'void __iomem *', and other platforms are incorrectly using __io() macro for the same purpose. This creates a common definition and removes all the platform specific versions. Rather than try to make linux/io.h and asm/io.h assembly safe, the assembly version of IOMEM is moved into asm/assembler.h. Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes, and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function no longer does anything useful. For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove these files entirely. 2011-11-21ARM: restart: only perform setup for restart when soft-restartingRussell King1-1/+1
We only need to set the system up for a soft-restart if we're going to be doing a soft-restart. Provide a new function (soft_restart()) which does the setup and final call for this, and make platforms use it. Eliminate the call to setup_restart() from the default handler. This means that platforms arch_reset() function is no longer called with the page tables prepared for a soft-restart, and caches will still be enabled. Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet. 2011-08-12ARM: gpio: make trivial GPIOLIB implementation the defaultRussell King1-19/+1
Rather than marking the mach/gpio.h header files which want to use the trivial GPIOLIB implementation, mark those which do not want to use it instead. This means that by default, you get the trivial implementation and only have to do something extra if you need to. This should encourage the use of the trivial default implementation. As an additional bonus, several gpio.h header files become empty. Many of the gpio_to_irq implementations use the gpiolib version of this function. Provide the standard gpiolib gpio_to_irq() for everyone, but allow platforms to override it if they wish.
