2020-01-31xtensa: drop empty platform_* functions from platformsMax Filippov1-0/+1
Provide missing default implementation for platform_init and drop copies of default platform_init, platform_setup and platform_heartbeet from platforms/*/setup.c Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2020-01-31xtensa: clean up platform headersMax Filippov1-3/+1
Drop include directives for irrelevant headers in asm/platform.h and its users. Sort remaining headers. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2019-06-16xtensa: drop dead PCI support codeMax Filippov1-2/+0
xtensa-specific PCI initialization code has significantly bitrotted over time because there's no platform that use it. Get rid of remaining non-functioning initialization and remove platform_pcibios_* interface. A new platform that would use PCI on xtensa will configure PCI controller using device tree. Drop variables pci_ctrl_head, pci_bus_count and functions pcibios_init, pci_controller_apertures, platform_pcibios_init and platform_pcibios_fixup. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2013-07-08xtensa: cleanup ccount frequency trackingBaruch Siach1-1/+1
Remove unused nsec_per_ccount, and rename ccount_per_jiffy to ccount_preq. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2013-06-05xtensa: remove unused platform_init_irq()Baruch Siach1-1/+0

2013-05-09xtensa: provide default platform_pcibios_init implementationMax Filippov1-0/+1
This fixes the following build error: arch/xtensa/kernel/built-in.o:(.init.literal+0xe8): undefined reference to `platform_pcibios_init' arch/xtensa/kernel/built-in.o: In function `setup_arch': (.init.text+0x20e): undefined reference to `platform_pcibios_init' and allows platform to omit definition of platform_pcibios_init if it's empty. 2012-12-18xtensa: clean up files to make them code-style compliantChris Zankel1-1/+0
Remove heading and trailing spaces, trim trailing lines, and wrap lines that are longer than 80 characters. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2012-10-03xtensa: change default platform clock frequency to 10MHzMax Filippov1-2/+2
Existing simulators show this level of performance. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2009-04-02xtensa: remove platform rtc hooksJohannes Weiner1-2/+0
platform_get/set_rtc_time() is not implemented by any of the supported xtensa platforms. Remove the facility completely. The initial seconds for xtime come from read_persistent_clock() which returns just 0 in the generic implementation. Platforms that sport a persistent clock can implement this function. This is needed to implement the ccount as a clock source. Signed-off-by: Johannes Weiner <hannes@cmpxchg.org> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>

2005-10-30[PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau1-0/+1
I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round.
