Avoid the PHY library call unnecessarily into the suspend/resume functions by
setting phydev->mac_managed_pm to true. The GENET driver essentially does
exactly what mdio_bus_phy_resume() does by calling phy_init_hw() plus
phy_resume().

The interrupt controller supplying the Wake-on-LAN interrupt line maybe
modular on some platforms (irq-bcm7038-l1.c) and might be probed at a
later time than the GENET driver. We need to specifically check for
-EPROBE_DEFER and propagate that error to ensure that we eventually
fetch the interrupt descriptor.

The hardware checksum offloading requires use of a transmit
status block inserted before the outgoing frame data, this was
updated in '9a9ba2a4aaaa ("net: bcmgenet: always enable status blocks")'
However, skb_tx_timestamp() assumes that it is passed a raw frame
and PTP parsing chokes on this status block.
Fix this by calling __skb_pull(), which hides the TSB before calling
skb_tx_timestamp(), so an outgoing PTP packet is parsed correctly.
As the data in the skb has already been set up for DMA, and the
dma_unmap_* calls use a separately stored address, there is no
no effective change in the data transmission.

It turns out after digging deeper into this bug, that it was being
triggered by GCC12 failing to call the bcmgenet_enable_dma()
routine. Given that a gcc12 fix has been merged [1] and the genet
driver now works properly when built with gcc12, this commit should
be reverted.

The assumption when these were relaxed seems to be that device memory
would be mapped non reordering, and that other constructs
(spinlocks/etc) would provide the barriers to assure that packet data
and in memory rings/queues were ordered with respect to device
register reads/writes. This itself seems a bit sketchy, but the real
problem with GCC12 is that it is moving the actual reads/writes around
at will as though they were independent operations when in truth they
are not, but the compiler can't know that. When looking at the
assembly dumps for many of these routines its possible to see very
clean, but not strictly in program order operations occurring as the
compiler would be free to do if these weren't actually register
reads/write operations.
Its possible to suppress the timeout with a liberal bit of dma_mb()'s
sprinkled around but the device still seems unable to reliably
send/receive data. A better plan is to use the safer readl/writel
everywhere.
Since this partially reverts an older commit, which notes the use of
the relaxed variants for performance reasons. I would suggest that
any performance problems with this commit are targeted at relaxing only
the performance critical code paths after assuring proper barriers.

The RXCHK block will return a partial checksum of 0 if it encounters
a problem while receiving a packet. Since a 1's complement sum can
only produce this result if no bits are set in the received data
stream it is fair to treat it as an invalid partial checksum and
not pass it up the stack.

Some of the bcmgenet platforms don't correctly support WOL, yet
ethtool returns:
"Supports Wake-on: gsf"
which is false.
Ideally if there isn't a wol_irq, or there is something else that
keeps the device from being able to wakeup it should display:
"Supports Wake-on: d"
This patch checks whether the device can wakup, before using the
hard-coded supported flags. This corrects the ethtool reporting, as
well as the WOL configuration because ethtool verifies that the mode
is supported before attempting it.

The 16nm internal EPHY that is present in 7712 is actually a 16nm
Gigabit PHY which has been forced to operate in 10/100 mode. Its
controls are therefore via the EXT_GPHY_CTRL registers and not via the
EXT_EPHY_CTRL which are used for all GENETv5 adapters. Add a match on
the 7712 compatible string to allow that differentiation to happen.
On previous GENETv4 chips the EXT_CFG_IDDQ_GLOBAL_PWR bit was cleared by
default, but this is not the case with this chip, so we need to make
sure we clear it to power on the EPHY.

This big patch sprinkles const on local variables and

of VLANs...") introduced a rbtree for faster Ethernet address look
up. To maintain netdev->dev_addr in this tree we need to make all

Some of the changes here are not strictly required - const
is sometimes cast off but pointer is not used for writing.
It seems like it's still better to add the const in case
the code changes later or relevant -W flags get enabled
for the build.

When we are using a dedicated PHY driver (not the Generic PHY driver)
chances are that it is going to configure RGMII delays and do that in a
way that is incompatible with our incorrect interpretation of the
phy_interface value.
Add a quirk in order to reverse the PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII to the
value of PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII_ID such that the MAC continues to be
configured the way it used to be, but the PHY driver can account for
adding delays. Conversely when PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII_TXID is
specified, return PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII_RXID to the PHY since we will
have enabled a TXC MAC delay (id_mode_dis=0, meaning there is a delay
inserted).
This is not considered a bug fix at this point since it only affects
Broadcom STB platforms shipping with a Device Tree blob that is not
updatable in the field (quite a few devices out there) and which was
generated using the scripted Device Tree environment shipped with those
platforms' SDK.

the MII commands SIOCGMIIPHY/SIOCGMIIREG/SIOCSMIIREG, or hardware

Separate these from the few drivers that use ndo_do_ioctl to

This is a purely cosmetic change intended to help readers find

Setting the EXT_ENERGY_DET_MASK bit allows the port energy detection
logic of the internal PHY to prevent the system from sleeping. Some
internal PHYs will report that energy is detected when the network
interface is closed which can prevent the system from going to sleep
if WoL is enabled when the interface is brought down.
Since the driver does not support waking the system on this logic,
this commit clears the bit whenever the internal PHY is powered up
and the other logic for manipulating the bit is removed since it
serves no useful function.

bcmgenet fd580000.ethernet: GENET 5.0 EPHY: 0x0000
...
could not attach to PHY
bcmgenet fd580000.ethernet eth0: failed to connect to PHY
uart-pl011 fe201000.serial: no DMA platform data
libphy: bcmgenet MII bus: probed
...
unimac-mdio unimac-mdio.-19: Broadcom UniMAC MDIO bus
It is not just coming too late, there is also no way for the module
loader to figure out the dependency between GENET and its MDIO bus
driver unless we provide this MODULE_SOFTDEP hint.
This patch adds the soft dependency to load mdio-bcm-unimac module
before genet module to fix this issue.

Some internal PHY's have their events like link change reported by the
MAC interrupt. We have PHY_IGNORE_INTERRUPT to deal with this scenario.
I'm not too happy with this name. We don't ignore interrupts, typically
there is no interrupt exposed at a PHY level. So let's rename it to
PHY_MAC_INTERRUPT. This is in line with phy_mac_interrupt(), which is
called from the MAC interrupt handler to handle PHY events.

The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky.
The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling
into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it.
At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected
sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3113e8b203b9debfb72d81e0f3dcace
which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the
rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately.
This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers.
While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong
in foo.c files.
The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping
modifications.

The Hardware Filter Block RAM may not be preserved when the GENET
block is reset during a deep sleep, so it is not sufficient to
only backup and restore the enables.
This commit clears out the HFB block and reprograms the rxnfc
rules when the system resumes from a suspended state. To support
this the bcmgenet_hfb_create_rxnfc_filter() function is modified
to access the register space directly so that it can't fail due
to memory allocation issues.

When the GENET driver resumes from deep sleep the UMAC_CMD
register may not be accessible and therefore should not be
accessed from bcmgenet_wol_power_up_cfg() if the GENET has
been reset.
This commit adds a check of the RBUF_ACPI_EN flag when Wake
on Filter is enabled. A clear flag indicates that the GENET
hardware must have been reset so the remainder of the
hardware programming is bypassed.

The GENET driver interfaces with internal MoCA interface as well as
external MoCA chips like the BCM6802/6803 through a fixed link
interface. It is desirable for the mocad user-space daemon to be able to
control the carrier state based upon out of band messages that it
receives from the MoCA chip.

When commit 474ea9cafc45 ("net: bcmgenet: correctly pad short
packets") added the call to skb_padto() it should have been
located before the nr_frags parameter was read since that value
could be changed when padding packets with lengths between 55
and 59 bytes (inclusive).
The use of a stale nr_frags value can cause corruption of the
pad data when tx-scatter-gather is enabled. This corruption of
the pad can cause invalid checksum computation when hardware
offload of tx-checksum is also enabled.
Since the original reason for the padding was corrected by
commit 7dd399130efb ("net: bcmgenet: fix skb_len in
bcmgenet_xmit_single()") we can remove the software padding all
together and make use of hardware padding of short frames as
long as the hardware also always appends the FCS value to the
frame.
