2019-05-21Merge tag 'spdx-5.2-rc2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-coreLinus Torvalds1-0/+1
Pull SPDX update from Greg KH: "Here is a series of patches that add SPDX tags to different kernel files, based on two different things: - SPDX entries are added to a bunch of files that we missed a year ago that do not have any license information at all. These were either missed because the tool saw the MODULE_LICENSE() tag, or some EXPORT_SYMBOL tags, and got confused and thought the file had a real license, or the files have been added since the last big sweep, or they were Makefile/Kconfig files, which we didn't touch last time. - Add GPL-2.0-only or GPL-2.0-or-later tags to files where our scan tools can determine the license text in the file itself. Where this happens, the license text is removed, in order to cut down on the 700+ different ways we have in the kernel today, in a quest to get rid of all of these. These patches have been out for review on the linux-spdx@vger mailing list, and while they were created by automatic tools, they were hand-verified by a bunch of different people, all whom names are on the patches are reviewers. The reason for these "large" patches is if we were to continue to progress at the current rate of change in the kernel, adding license tags to individual files in different subsystems, we would be finished in about 10 years at the earliest. There will be more series of these types of patches coming over the next few weeks as the tools and reviewers crunch through the more "odd" variants of how to say "GPLv2" that developers have come up with over the years, combined with other fun oddities (GPL + a BSD disclaimer?) that are being unearthed, with the goal for the whole kernel to be cleaned up. 2017-08-07net/mlx5: Separate between E-Switch and MPFSSaeed Mahameed1-0/+10
Multi-Physical Function Switch (MPFs) is required for when multi-PF configuration is enabled to allow passing user configured unicast MAC addresses to the requesting PF. Before this patch eswitch.c used to manage the HW MPFS l2 table, E-Switch always (regardless of sriov) enabled vport(0) (NIC PF) vport's contexts update on unicast mac address list changes, to populate the PF's MPFS L2 table accordingly. In downstream patch we would like to allow compiling the driver without E-Switch functionalities, for that we move MPFS l2 table logic out of eswitch.c into its own file, and provide Kconfig flag (MLX5_MPFS) to allow compiling out MPFS for those who don't want Multi-PF support. NIC PF netdevice will now directly update MPFS l2 table via the new MPFS API. VF netdevice has no access to MPFS L2 table, so E-Switch will remain responsible of updating its MPFS l2 table on behalf of its VFs. Due to this change we also don't require enabling vport(0) (PF vport) unicast mac changes events anymore, for when SRIOV is not enabled. Which means E-Switch is now activated only on SRIOV activation, and not required otherwise. 2017-06-27net/mlx5: Accel, Add IPSec acceleration interfaceIlan Tayari1-0/+4
Add routines for manipulating the hardware IPSec SA database (SADB). In Innova IPSec, a Security Association (SA) is added or deleted via a command message over the SBU connection. The HW then sends a response message over the same connection. Add implementation for Innova IPSec (FPGA-based) hardware. These routines will be used by the IPSec offload support in a later patch However they may also be used by others such as RDMA and RoCE IPSec. mlx5/accel is a middle acceleration layer to allow mlx5e and other ULPs to work directly with mlx5_core rather than Innova FPGA or other mlx5 acceleration providers. In this patchset we add Innova IPSec support and mlx5/accel delegates IPSec offloads to Innova routines. In the future, when IPSec/TLS or any other acceleration gets integrated into ConnectX chip, mlx5/accel layer will provide the integrated acceleration, rather than the Innova one. 2017-05-14net/mlx5: FPGA, Add basic support for InnovaIlan Tayari1-0/+10
Mellanox Innova is a NIC with ConnectX and an FPGA on the same board. The FPGA is a bump-on-the-wire and thus affects operation of the mlx5_core driver on the ConnectX ASIC. Add basic support for Innova in mlx5_core. This allows using the Innova card as a regular NIC, by detecting the FPGA capability bit, and verifying its load state before initializing ConnectX interfaces. Also detect FPGA fatal runtime failures and enter error state if they ever happen. All new FPGA-related logic is placed in its own subdirectory 'fpga', which may be built by selecting CONFIG_MLX5_FPGA. This prepares for further support of various Innova features in later patchsets. The ethernet support now calls directly into the ipv6 core code, which fails if IPV6 is a loadable module but mlx5 is built-in: drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/en_tc.o: In function `mlx5e_create_encap_header_ipv6': en_tc.c:(.text.mlx5e_create_encap_header_ipv6+0x110): undefined reference to `ip6_route_output_flags' This adds a dependency to ensure that MLX5_CORE_EN can only be built if we are able link the kernel successfully. The downside is that the ethernet option can be hidden. 2016-11-16ptp_clock: Allow for it to be optionalNicolas Pitre1-1/+1
In order to break the hard dependency between the PTP clock subsystem and ethernet drivers capable of being clock providers, this patch provides simple PTP stub functions to allow linkage of those drivers into the kernel even when the PTP subsystem is configured out. Drivers must be ready to accept NULL from ptp_clock_register() in that case. And to make it possible for PTP to be configured out, the select statement in those driver's Kconfig menu entries is converted to the new "imply" statement. This way the PTP subsystem may have Kconfig dependencies of its own, such as POSIX_TIMERS, without having to make those ethernet drivers unavailable if POSIX timers are cconfigured out. And when support for POSIX timers is selected again then the default config option for PTP clock support will automatically be adjusted accordingly. The pch_gbe driver is a bit special as it relies on extra code in drivers/ptp/ptp_pch.c. Therefore we let the make process descend into drivers/ptp/ even if PTP_1588_CLOCK is unselected. I accidently let Arnd's VXLAN dependency changes slip into net-next, they are only appropriate for net. Also the flow steering structural changes to mlx5e_priv got scrambled during the merge resolution as well. Fix that all up. 2016-05-09net/mlx5e: make VXLAN support conditionalArnd Bergmann1-0/+7
VXLAN can be disabled at compile-time or it can be a loadable module while mlx5 is built-in, which leads to a link error: drivers/net/built-in.o: In function `mlx5e_create_netdev': ntb_netdev.c:(.text+0x106de4): undefined reference to `vxlan_get_rx_port' This avoids the link error and makes the vxlan code optional, like the other ethernet drivers do as well. 2016-05-09Revert "net/mlx5: Kconfig: Fix MLX5_EN/VXLAN build issue"Arnd Bergmann1-1/+0
This reverts commit 69976fb1045850a742deb9790ea49cbc6f497531. We cannot select VXLAN when IPv4 support is disabled, that just gives us additional build errors, including: warning: (MLX5_CORE_EN) selects VXLAN which has unmet direct dependencies (NETDEVICES && NET_CORE && INET) In file included from ../drivers/net/vxlan.c:36:0: include/net/udp_tunnel.h: In function 'udp_tunnel_handle_offloads': include/net/udp_tunnel.h:112:9: error: implicit declaration of function 'iptunnel_handle_offloads' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] return iptunnel_handle_offloads(skb, type); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm sending a proper fix for the original bug in a separate patch. 2016-05-03net/mlx5: Kconfig: Fix MLX5_EN/VXLAN build issueMatthew Finlay1-0/+1
When MLX5_EN=y MLX5_CORE=y and VXLAN=m there is a linker error for vxlan_get_rx_port() due to the fact that VXLAN is a module. Change Kconfig to select VXLAN when MLX5_CORE=y. When MLX5_CORE=m there is no dependency on the value of VXLAN. 2016-02-24net/mlx5e: Support DCBNL IEEE ETSSaeed Mahameed1-0/+12
Support the ndo_setup_tc callback and the needed methods for multi TC/UP support, and removed the default_vlan_prio from mlx5e_priv which is always 0, it was replaced with hardcoded "0" in the new select queue method. For that we now create MAX_NUM_TC num of TISs (one per prio) on netdevice creation instead of priv->params.num_tc which was always 1. So far each channel had a single TXQ, Now each channel has a TXQ per TC (Traffic Class). Added en_dcbnl.c which implements the set/get DCBNL IEEE ETS, set/get dcbx and registers the mlx5e dcbnl ops. We still use the kernel's default TXQ selection method to select the channel to transmit through but now we use our own method to select the TXQ inside the channel based on VLAN priority. In mlx5, as opposed to mlx4, tc group N gets lower priority than tc group N+1. 2016-01-05net/mlx5e: Add PTP Hardware Clock (PHC) supportEran Ben Elisha1-0/+1
Add a PHC support to the mlx5_en driver. Use reader/writer spinlocks to protect the timecounter since every packet received needs to call timecounter_cycle2time() when timestamping is enabled. This can become a performance bottleneck with RSS and multiple receive queues if normal spinlocks are used. The driver has been tested with both Documentation/ptp/testptp and the linuxptp project (http://linuxptp.sourceforge.net/) on a Mellanox ConnectX-4 card. 2015-06-04mlx5: Enable mutual support for IB and EthernetHaggai Abramonvsky1-1/+1
Ethernet functionality is only available when working in ISSI > 0 mode. Previously, the IB driver wasn't ready to work on that mode, and hence building both the IB driver and the Ethernet functionality in the core driver were disallowed by Kconfigs. Now, once we have all the pre-steps in place, we can remove this limitation. The last steps in the IB driver for getting that setup to work are: create dummy SRQ for the driver's use (until now we could use XRC_SRQ as SRQ and XRC_SRQ, after moving to ISSI > 0, we separate XRC SRQs from basic SRQs) and adapt the create QP function to be compatible with ISSI > 0. 2015-05-30net/mlx5: Extend mlx5_core to support ConnectX-4 Ethernet functionalityAmir Vadai1-1/+13
This is the Ethernet part of the driver for the Mellanox ConnectX(R)-4 Single/Dual-Port Adapter supporting 100Gb/s with VPI. The driver extends the existing mlx5 driver with Ethernet functionality. This patch contains the driver entry points but does not include transmit and receive (see the previous patch in the series) routines. It also adds the option MLX5_CORE_EN to Kconfig to enable/disable the Ethernet functionality. Currently, Kconfig is programmed to make Ethernet and Infiniband functionality mutally exclusive. Also changed MLX5_INFINIBAND to be depandant on MLX5_CORE instead of selecting it, since MLX5_CORE could be selected without MLX5_INFINIBAND being selected. 2013-09-06mlx5: remove unused MLX5_DEBUG param in KconfigMichael Opdenacker1-10/+0
This patch proposes to remove the MLX5_DEBUG kernel configuration parameter defined in drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/Kconfig, but used nowhere in the makefiles and source code. This could also be fixed by using this parameter, but this may be a leftover from driver development... 2013-07-08mlx5: Add driver for Mellanox Connect-IB adaptersEli Cohen1-0/+18
The driver is comprised of two kernel modules: mlx5_ib and mlx5_core. This partitioning resembles what we have for mlx4, except that mlx5_ib is the pci device driver and not mlx5_core. mlx5_core is essentially a library that provides general functionality that is intended to be used by other Mellanox devices that will be introduced in the future. mlx5_ib has a similar role as any hardware device under drivers/infiniband/hw.
