2026-07-30rust: iommu: add device lifetime to IoPageTableDeborah Brouwer1-23/+9
Currently, using a raw IoPageTable is unsafe because the returned IoPageTable is not tied to the device driver binding lifetime. Since device drivers now receive a lifetime parameter <'bound> representing the interval during which a device driver is bound to its bus device, add a lifetime parameter to IoPageTable. This ensures that the returned IoPageTable cannot outlive the bus device binding. Also remove the option to create a page table as a device resource since currently Devres is not compatible with resources that have a lifetime parameter. This option can be restored once the lifetime-aware wrapper for devres is available and if a use-case appears for it. 2026-07-09rust: iommu: replace core::mem::zeroed with Zeroable::zeroedNicolás Antinori1-2/+1
All types in `bindings` implement `Zeroable` if they can. This enables using `Zeroable::zeroed` for `io_pgtable_cfg` initialization instead of relying on `..unsafe { core::mem::zeroed() }`. This change improves readability and removes an unnecessary unsafe block. 2026-01-22rust: iommu: fix `srctree` link warningMiguel Ojeda1-1/+1
The Rust kernel code should be kept `rustdoc`-clean [1]. Our custom `srctree` link checker in the `rustdoc` target reports: warning: srctree/ link to include/io-pgtable.h does not exist Thus fix it. 2026-01-22rust: iommu: fix Rust formattingMiguel Ojeda1-1/+1
The Rust kernel code should be kept `rustfmt`-clean [1]. Thus run the `rustfmt` target to fix the formatting issue. This will be used by the Tyr driver to create and modify the page table of each address space on the GPU. Each time a mapping gets created or removed by userspace, Tyr will call into GPUVM, which will figure out which calls to map_pages and unmap_pages are required to map the data in question in the page table so that the GPU may access those pages when using that address space. The Rust type wraps the struct using a raw pointer rather than the usual Opaque+ARef approach because Opaque+ARef requires the target type to be refcounted.
