Rename selftets/vm to selftests/mm for being more consistent with the
code, documentation, and tools directories, and won't be confused with
virtual machines.

Pull MM updates from Andrew Morton:
- Yu Zhao's Multi-Gen LRU patches are here. They've been under test in
linux-next for a couple of months without, to my knowledge, any
negative reports (or any positive ones, come to that).
- Also the Maple Tree from Liam Howlett. An overlapping range-based
tree for vmas. It it apparently slightly more efficient in its own
right, but is mainly targeted at enabling work to reduce mmap_lock
contention.
Liam has identified a number of other tree users in the kernel which
could be beneficially onverted to mapletrees.
Yu Zhao has identified a hard-to-hit but "easy to fix" lockdep splat
at [1]. This has yet to be addressed due to Liam's unfortunately
timed vacation. He is now back and we'll get this fixed up.
- Dmitry Vyukov introduces KMSAN: the Kernel Memory Sanitizer. It uses
clang-generated instrumentation to detect used-unintialized bugs down
to the single bit level.
KMSAN keeps finding bugs. New ones, as well as the legacy ones.
- Yang Shi adds a userspace mechanism (madvise) to induce a collapse of
memory into THPs.
- Zach O'Keefe has expanded Yang Shi's madvise(MADV_COLLAPSE) to
support file/shmem-backed pages.
- userfaultfd updates from Axel Rasmussen
- zsmalloc cleanups from Alexey Romanov
- cleanups from Miaohe Lin: vmscan, hugetlb_cgroup, hugetlb and
memory-failure
- Huang Ying adds enhancements to NUMA balancing memory tiering mode's
page promotion, with a new way of detecting hot pages.
- memcg updates from Shakeel Butt: charging optimizations and reduced
memory consumption.
- memcg cleanups from Kairui Song.
- memcg fixes and cleanups from Johannes Weiner.
- Vishal Moola provides more folio conversions
- Zhang Yi removed ll_rw_block() :(
- migration enhancements from Peter Xu
- migration error-path bugfixes from Huang Ying
- Aneesh Kumar added ability for a device driver to alter the memory
tiering promotion paths. For optimizations by PMEM drivers, DRM
drivers, etc.
- vma merging improvements from Jakub Matěn.
- NUMA hinting cleanups from David Hildenbrand.
- xu xin added aditional userspace visibility into KSM merging
activity.
- THP & KSM code consolidation from Qi Zheng.
- more folio work from Matthew Wilcox.
- KASAN updates from Andrey Konovalov.
- DAMON cleanups from Kaixu Xia.
- DAMON work from SeongJae Park: fixes, cleanups.
- hugetlb sysfs cleanups from Muchun Song.
- Mike Kravetz fixes locking issues in hugetlbfs and in hugetlb core.

In various places both in t/t/s/v/Makefile as well as some of the test
sources, we were referring to headers or directories using some fairly
long relative paths.
Since we have a working top_srcdir variable though, which refers to the
root of the kernel tree, we can clean up all of these "up and over"
relative paths, just relying on the single variable instead.

libhugetlbfs, the user side utitlity to work with hugepages, does not have
any active support. There are only 2 selftests which are part of in
vm/hmm_test.c that depends on libhugetlbfs.
This patch modifies the tests so that they will not require libhugetlb
library.

Add a simple test case for when hmm_range_fault() is called with the
HMM_PFN_REQ_FAULT flag and a device private PTE is found for a device
other than the hmm_range::dev_private_owner. This should cause the page
to be faulted back to system memory from the other device and the PFN
returned in the output array.
Also, remove a piece of code that unnecessarily unmaps part of the buffer.

The objective is to test device migration mechanism in pages marked as
COW, for private and coherent device type. In case of writing to COW
private page(s), a page fault will migrate pages back to system memory
first. Then, these pages will be duplicated. In case of COW device
coherent type, pages are duplicated directly from device memory.

Test cases such as migrate_fault and migrate_multiple, were modified to
explicit migrate from device to sys memory without the need of page
faults, when using device coherent type.
Snapshot test case updated to read memory device type first and based on
that, get the proper returned results migrate_ping_pong test case added to
test explicit migration from device to sys memory for both private and
coherent zone types.
Helpers to migrate from device to sys memory and vicerversa were also
added.

hmm_range_fault() can be used instead of get_user_pages() for devices
which allow faulting however unlike get_user_pages() it will return an
error when used on a VM_MIXEDMAP range.
To make hmm_range_fault() more closely match get_user_pages() remove
this restriction. This requires dealing with the !ARCH_HAS_PTE_SPECIAL
case in hmm_vma_handle_pte(). Rather than replicating the logic of
vm_normal_page() call it directly and do a check for the zero pfn
similar to what get_user_pages() currently does.
Also add a test to hmm selftest to verify functionality.

HMM selftests are incredibly useful, but they are only effective if people
actually build and run them. All the other tests in selftests/vm can be
built with very standard, always-available libraries: libpthread, librt.
The hmm-tests.c program, on the other hand, requires something that is
(much) less readily available: libhugetlbfs. And so the build will
typically fail for many developers.
A simple attempt to install libhugetlbfs will also run into complications
on some common distros these days: Fedora and Arch Linux (yes, Arch AUR
has it, but that's fragile, as always with AUR). The library is not
maintained actively enough at the moment, for distros to deal with it. I
had to build it from source, for Fedora, and that didn't go too smoothly
either.
It turns out that, out of 21 tests in hmm-tests.c, only 2 actually require
functionality from libhugetlbfs. Therefore, if libhugetlbfs is missing,
simply ifdef those two tests out and allow the developer to at least have
the other 19 tests, if they don't want to pause to work through the above
issues. Also issue a warning, so that it's clear that there is an
imperfection in the build.
In order to do that, a tiny shell script (check_config.sh) runs a quick
compile (not link, that's too prone to false failures with library paths),
and basically, if the compiler doesn't find hugetlbfs.h in its standard
locations, then the script concludes that libhugetlbfs is not available.
The output is in two files, one for inclusion in hmm-test.c
(local_config.h), and one for inclusion in the Makefile (local_config.mk).

This patch reduces the running time for hmm-tests from about 10+ seconds,
to just under 1.0 second, for an approximately 10x speedup. That brings
it in line with most of the other tests in selftests/vm, which mostly run
in < 1 sec.
This is done with a one-line change that simply reduces the number of
iterations of several tests, from 256, to 10. Thanks to Ralph Campbell
for suggesting changing NTIMES as a way to get the speedup.
