the Sierra Wireless MC8755 entry was added to the list of "possibly
supported" devices back in -r1.45. the problem is, it has been also listed in the "definitely supported" list since -r1.9. it seems reasonable to presume the addition in -r1.45 was an error, so i'm removing it here.
