2021-04-22ath10k: Fix ath10k_wmi_tlv_op_pull_peer_stats_info() unlock without lockShuah Khan1-0/+3
ath10k_wmi_tlv_op_pull_peer_stats_info() could try to unlock RCU lock winthout locking it first when peer reason doesn't match the valid cases for this function. 2021-02-11ath10k: hold RCU lock when calling ieee80211_find_sta_by_ifaddr()Shuah Khan1-2/+5
ieee80211_find_sta_by_ifaddr() must be called under the RCU lock and the resulting pointer is only valid under RCU lock as well. Fix ath10k_wmi_tlv_op_pull_peer_stats_info() to hold RCU lock before it calls ieee80211_find_sta_by_ifaddr() and release it when the resulting pointer is no longer needed. 2020-05-11ath10k: Remove msdu from idr when management pkt send failsRakesh Pillai1-0/+15
Currently when the sending of any management pkt via wmi command fails, the packet is being unmapped freed in the error handling. But the idr entry added, which is used to track these packet is not getting removed. Hence, during unload, in wmi cleanup, all the entries in IDR are removed and the corresponding buffer is attempted to be freed. This can cause a situation where one packet is attempted to be freed twice. Fix this error by rmeoving the msdu from the idr list when the sending of a management packet over wmi fails. 2020-04-28ath10k: add rx bitrate report for SDIOWen Gong1-0/+118
For SDIO chip, its rx indication is struct htt_rx_indication_hl, which does not include the bitrate info as well as PCIe, for PCIe, it use function ath10k_htt_rx_h_rates to parse the bitrate info in struct rx_ppdu_start and then report it to mac80211 via ieee80211_rx_status. SDIO does not have the same info as PCIe, then iw command can not get the rx bitrate by "iw wlan0 station dump". for example, it always show 6.0 MBit/s localhost ~ # iw wlan0 link Connected to 3c:28:6d:96:fd:69 (on wlan0) SSID: kukui_test freq: 5180 RX: 111800 bytes (595 packets) TX: 35419 bytes (202 packets) signal: -41 dBm rx bitrate: 6.0 MBit/s This patch is to send WMI_TLV_REQUEST_PEER_STATS_INFO_CMDID to firmware for ath10k_sta_statistics and save the rx bitrate for WMI event WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_INFO_EVENTID. 2019-10-02ath10k: add support for hardware rfkillWen Gong1-0/+49
When hardware rfkill is enabled in the firmware it will report the capability via using WMI_TLV_SYS_CAP_INFO_RFKILL bit in the WMI_SERVICE_READY event to the host. ath10k will check the capability, and if it is enabled then ath10k will set the GPIO information to firmware using WMI_PDEV_SET_PARAM. When the firmware detects hardware rfkill is enabled by the user, it will report it via WMI_RFKILL_STATE_CHANGE_EVENTID. Once ath10k receives the event it will send wmi command WMI_PDEV_SET_PARAM to the firmware to enable/disable the radio and also notifies cfg80211. We can't power off the device when rfkill is enabled, as otherwise the firmware would not be able to detect GPIO changes and report them to the host. 2019-09-23ath10k: Add support to provide higher range mem chunks in wmi init commandSurabhi Vishnoi1-2/+9
With the current implementation of wmi init command, there is no provision for the host driver to provide mem chunks addresses with more than 32-bit, to the firmware. WCN3990 is a 35-bit target and can accept mem chunks addresses which are above 32-bit. If firmware supports address range more than 32 bit, it advertises the support by setting the WMI_SERVICE_EXTEND_ADDRESS service. 2019-09-12ath10k: fix channel info parsing for non tlv targetRakesh Pillai1-1/+1
The tlv targets such as WCN3990 send more data in the chan info event, which is not sent by the non tlv targets. 2019-02-28ath10k: Fill rx duration for each peer in fw_stats for WCN3990Surabhi Vishnoi1-2/+29
Currently, rx_duration for each peer is not getting populated in fw_stats debugfs entry for WCN3990. WCN3990 firmware sends rx duration for each peer as part of peer_extd_stats in WMI_UPDATE_STATS_EVENT. To enable peer_extd_stats, firmware expects host to send fw_stats_req_mask with flag WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_EXTD set in WMI_REQUEST_STATS_CMD. Send fw_stats_req_mask with flag WMI_TLV_PEER_STATS_EXTD set in WMI_REQUEST_STATS_CMD and parse the peer_extd_stats in WMI_UPDATE_STATS_EVENT to populate the rx_duration of each peer in fw_stats debugfs entry. Currently the driver handles 32-bit rx_duration, but the rx_duration for WCN3990 can be upto 63 bit. The firmware sends rx_duration split into two 32-bit fields, with the upper 32-bits being valid only if its MSB is set. This change handles the 63-bit rx_duration obtained from WCN3990 and maintain the backward compatibility. To get the rx_duration of each connected peer : cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phyX/ath10k/fw_stats Tested HW: WCN3990 Tested FW: WLAN.HL.3.1-00784-QCAHLSWMTPLZ-1 Signed-off-by: Surabhi Vishnoi <svishnoi@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2019-02-26ath10k: Fix length of wmi tlv command for protected mgmt framesSurabhi Vishnoi1-3/+1
The length of wmi tlv command for management tx send is calculated incorrectly in case of protected management frames as there is addition of IEEE80211_CCMP_MIC_LEN twice. This leads to improper behaviour of firmware as the wmi tlv mgmt tx send command for protected mgmt frames is formed wrongly. Fix the length calculation of wmi tlv command for mgmt tx send in case of protected management frames by adding the IEEE80211_CCMP_MIC_LEN only once. 2019-02-26ath10k: correct the format of host memory chunks in wmi init commandYu Wang1-3/+36
This is a theoretical fix, the issue is found in code review. When adding the host memory chunks into wmi-tlv init command, there is no separate tlv header for each host memory chunk in the struct array, which breaches the convention between host and firmware, will result in mismatch between the two. 2018-11-05ath10k: fill the channel survey results for WCN3990 correctlyRakesh Pillai1-0/+3
The host driver currently expects the channel info event to be received in pairs for all the channels, i.e. the first chan_info event for a particular channel will not have the COMPLETE flag set and the second chan_info event for the same channel will have the COMPLETE flag set. The HL2.0 firmware sends only one channel info event per channel which is scanned without the COMPLETE flag set. After sending the chan_info_event for all the channels, the HL2.0 firmware sends a chan_info_event with COMPLETE flag set to indicate the completion of the channel info event. The firmware does not indicate this behavior with any service bitmap and hence a new firmware feature flag is used to handle the modified parsing of the channel info events, in the host driver, for the firmware which sends single channel info event per scanned channel. WCN3990 transmits management frames via WMI with reference. Currently, with the management tx completion not being handled, these frames are not getting freed even after the transmission status is returned by the firmware. 2018-07-30ath10k: disable bundle mgmt tx completion event supportSurabhi Vishnoi1-0/+5
The tx completion of multiple mgmt frames can be bundled in a single event and sent by the firmware to host, if this capability is not disabled explicitly by the host. If the host cannot handle the bundled mgmt tx completion, this capability support needs to be disabled in the wmi init cmd, sent to the firmware. Add the host capability indication flag in the wmi ready command, to let firmware know the features supported by the host driver. This field is ignored if it is not supported by firmware. Set the host capability indication flag(i.e. host_capab) to zero, for disabling the support of bundle mgmt tx completion. This will indicate the firmware to send completion event for every mgmt tx completion, instead of bundling them together and sending in a single event.
