2022-09-13arm64: dts: qcom: align SDHCI reg-names with DT schemaKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1

2022-08-29arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: switch TCSR mutex to MMIOKrzysztof Kozlowski1-8/+3
The TCSR mutex bindings allow device to be described only with address space (so it uses MMIO, not syscon regmap). This seems reasonable as TCSR mutex is actually a dedicated IO address space and it also fixes DT schema checks: qcom/msm8998-asus-novago-tp370ql.dtb: hwlock: 'reg' is a required property qcom/msm8998-asus-novago-tp370ql.dtb: hwlock: 'syscon' does not match any of the regexes: 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Konrad Dybcio <konrad.dybcio@somainline.org> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Andersson <andersson@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220819083209.50844-6-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org
2022-08-29arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: split TCSR halt regs out of mutexKrzysztof Kozlowski1-2/+7
The TCSR halt regs are next to TCSR mutex (in one address block called TCSR_MUTEX), so before converting the TCSR mutex into device with address space, we need to split the halt regs to its own syscon device. 2022-06-27arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998*: Keep MMCC & MMSS_SMMU enabled by defaultKonrad Dybcio1-2/+0
MMCC is a component of the SoC that should always be configured. It was kept off due to misconfiguration on clamshell machines. Keep it disabled on these ones and enable it by default on all the others. Exactly the same story applies to MMSS_SMMU, which directly depends on MMCC. 2021-09-21arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: Fix CPU/L2 idle state latency and residencyAngeloGioacchino Del Regno1-8/+12
The entry/exit latency and minimum residency in state for the idle states of MSM8998 were ..bad: first of all, for all of them the timings were written for CPU sleep but the min-residency-us param was miscalculated (supposedly, while porting this from downstream); Then, the power collapse states are setting PC on both the CPU cluster *and* the L2 cache, which have different timings: in the specific case of L2 the times are higher so these ones should be taken into account instead of the CPU ones. This parameter misconfiguration was not giving particular issues because on MSM8998 there was no CPU scaling at all, so cluster/L2 power collapse was rarely (if ever) hit. When CPU scaling is enabled, though, the wrong timings will produce SoC unstability shown to the user as random, apparently error-less, sudden reboots and/or lockups. This set of parameters are stabilizing the SoC when CPU scaling is ON and when power collapse is frequently hit. 2021-02-02arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: Disable some components by defaultKonrad Dybcio1-1/+5
Some components (like PCIe) are not used on all devices and with a certain firmware configuration they might end up triggering a force reboot or a Synchronous Abort. This commit brings no functional difference as the nodes are enabled on devices which didn't disable them previously.
